Dear Emmy. I made a similar ball a few years ago when trying to make dryer balls. I scrunched leftover foil into a ball shape and left it in my dryer each time. Sometimes they didn’t do well at all but I have a few balls that are just beautiful. I suppose it is the same principal. The tossing in the clothes dryer imitated the hammer tapping. But is much easier and was fun to find them xxx

"Embrace the struggle" ... I had a teacher in high school who I was NOT very fond of... he and I rarely saw eye to eye and I in fact often disobeyed him simply because I didn't like him or his class. Many of my classmates felt the same way, walking into his room felt like walking into boot camp some days. One day a peer of mine shouted "This class sucks!" In the middle of his lesson, to which he looked up, smirked, and said "Well then embrace the suck. Enjoy the suck." Now, in my 20s and studying to become a teacher myself, I smile when I think of him and recite to myself "Embrace the suck" or "enjoy the suck" when life starts to... well... suck! I don't entirely agree with all of his methods, but I think fondly of him now. In his own way, he was making us all better adults and although I have forgotten many of his lessons, I know one of his lessons I will always remember.

Did this a couple Of years ago, with the then 9 year old grandson. We had great fun. Think he still has the ball. So glad your smell and taste is returning.

I like the “action” shot of the ball rolling about!

Everyone at my work takes zinc and no one has had issues with loss of taste/smell since. I started losing smell last time I got sick but was taking zinc gummies. I switched to a better quality zinc and got my smell back the next day.

Make ball of aluminum foil and just throw it in your dryer when you're doing your clothes you'll get the same results and it absorbs the static from the clothes. Took about a year.

I think I may know a quicker way to get to the sanding point. I was up aluminum foil and throw it into the dryer with my wet clothes (it helps reduce static cling) after several loads it ends up looking like the stage where you sand it. It's pretty shiny already so may not need the coarser grit.

you should make a video trying foods you don't like before your smell comes back fully
