You honestly inspire me to keep shooting on my A7iii. Sometimes I get caught up with the latest & greatest gear that is released, but at the end of the day they’re just tools; just as how you used the Ursa for its capabilities. The creative decisions that were made are the result of this stunning visual (not because of the gear that was used.) Your color grading is always on point as well. Appreciate your work! 🎥❤️
Hey Nathan, really stoked to hear you’re still shooting on the A7iii, once you expose it right and shooting at 4K res, it produces really great colours and tones. It does suck at slow motion, hence why we use the Ursa for that, (normally it’s our interview/corporate camera). But I personally am a big believer that good colour grading and editing is way more important and better to invest in than new cameras. Until you find you can’t get the look you’re trying to get with a specific camera then it’s time to start looking for a new one. Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel 🙏🏽
Video shot approx. 80% Sony A7iii and about 20% Ursa mini Pro 12K, primarily slow motion bits
Amazing! Congrats guys on the great work! Hope this gets tons of views!
Who needs next gen Sony cameras when you can grade A73 like a beast! sooo sick!!
Thanks a lot Marco, the A7iii can be great when it’s exposed correctly
Noice!…vibration effect added to the rev of the engine.
Yeah camera shake works well with car engine sounds I’ve found
Crazy how this is footage from the a7iii
A7iii and the Ursa 12K (mostly slow motion bits of the cars)
Very cool edit man. Also your sound stacking. Nicel done!
Thanks is a lot Oli, really appreciate that. Still a lot to learn sound wise however 🙏🏽
Fantastic work as always 👏
Thanks guys!
Great Work👍
Thanks a lot!
🖤
❤
beautiful sound design, may I ask how you achieved the shaky effect with the footage?
Thanks a lot Daniel! And we used the camera shake Fx in Davinci resolve
Fab
Thanks man!
🔥🔥
🙏🏽
Color profile?
For Sony :Slog2 with ITU.709 matrix
Ursa: BRAW Gen 5
What picture profile was this shot in?
With the A7iii S-log2 and Ursa was BRAW
@@meliorstudios How do you decide whether to shoot in S-log2 or HLG3?
@@SternApperloo Hey Stern! If we can expose for Slog2 (overexposing by 2 stops) then we shoot in Slog2. However when we can’t - often darker scenes - we shoot with HLG3 where you just need the correct exposure (+/- 0). In low light too HLG3 isn’t as compressed or flat, therefore it doesn’t break up as much as Slog2 on the A7iii
Did you use cineprint16 in colorgrading this video?
No, we didn’t use any plug-ins for this project but probably could have created a cool look with cineprint16
@@meliorstudios allright! Thanks for the awnser. It was so clean and all so i was wondering if you can tweak the cineprint16 to look like that too.
