    The Goat Trust is registered as a charitable trust to promote small livestock (Goat farming/sheep/Backyard birds) based livelihood through demystifying production technology, building institutions( International Institute of Goat Management), and promoting the standard of marketing and linkage across the globe.
    It is mandated to grow as a resource organization to work on the development of pro-poor small livestock farming systems, livestock rearing, goat feed, goat rearing, livestock shelter, goat meat farm, technologies, goat feeders, farm animals, goat hay feeders, and market development through collaboration and networking with various stakeholders.
    TGT was founded by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (an Ashoka Fellow) in the year of 2008. It has a team of eminent personalities and experienced field experts on board and is driven by qualified passionate professionals from diverse backgrounds. TGT has a Nationwide presence and it works in 16 states with the partnership of over 100 prominent agencies. Major partners include NABARD, TATA TRUST, AKRSP, BMGF, CARE, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation (DRF), Reliance Foundation, PRADAN, World Vision India, and State SRLMs like BRLPS-Jeevika, Maharashtra (MSRLM), Tripura SRLM, Jharkhand SRLM, and others.
    The Goat Trust has resulted as an experiential learning process of a few development professionals engaged in livelihood promotion for women farmers and women-led grass-root organizations over a decade. It was registered to provide individual stray effort and struggle with small livestock-based livelihood issues, a platform to promote cross-learning, further accentuate action research to generate knowledge, experiences and make it available to a larger set of players within and outside India.
    Our International Institute of Goat Management(IIGMA) is offering a certificate course in Livestock Business Management with a specialization in FPO Management.
