- With the recent release of Wine 9.2 and the Proton 9.0 beta today, I thought I would do a quick benchmark against some older Wine and Proton versions to see if there are any performance uplifts or regressions. I tested them in Cyberpunk as it is my favorite game to benchmark.

I read somewhere that the Proton GE 7-55 version is the best for this game, but that's a comment from 7 months ago. Have you tried it on the new 2.12 release? I have similar hardware specs Ryzen 5 5600X and Rx 6600 XT. Nobara 38 system. i am still trying to settle the best possible performance.
Can you test the kernel ntsync patch? which promises to have significant performance gains..
Well there is a lot a debate whether this will make a such a big improvement as they predict since fsync is already merged and contain some of these improvements over wineserver flightlessmango.com/games/5222/logs/4907 and flightlessmango.com/games/168824/logs/4908 They saw a massive improvement from Wonderlands, and I saw hardly any between wineserver and fsync, so maybe there is some left on the table.
GE is better like i expect )) but waiting ge proton 9.0
1:18 According to this WINE9.2 is regressing in performance?
Well in CP2007 atleast in my tests, and ymmv.
GE Proton 9 just dropped!
