very inspirational man. im a guy and I have alopecia as well , but just alopecia areata that comes and goes. I regularly shave my head. helps mask it some. not only that , but it makes me feel better. The way I see it hair has nothing to do with a person or what type of person they are . And honestly I don't understand why people look at someone who is bald and assume they have cancer automatically. girl or guy , especially guys because do people not realize that there are a lot of bald guys on this earth. not every guy is bald for a certain reason. some guys just like to shave their heads. I know many that have full heads of hair and still shave their heads. just because a person is bald doesn't necessarily mean they have a disease. shaved head is a style. It does get lonely having alopecia especially if your the onto one out of your family and friends that have it. You feel kind of secluded. It makes me feel great to know that there are others who deal with the same problem. props to you man.

You need to live your life for you, not for others. If someone else has a problem with the way you look, that's their problem, not yours. No, you didn't choose to lose your hair, but it is what it is. Ignore the hair loss and live your life. It doesn't stop you from going to school, working, working out, going out with friends or on dates or doing anything else. Though, I would be lying if I said that dealing with people's prejudice will be easy all of the time. In a way, life has made you a kind of celebrity. Some people will approach you and ask you about it. It's inevitable. It's up to you how to respond. You can educate or walk away. That's your decision. The thing to take away is, don't worry about it. Ignore that you have it and go about your normal everyday life. If you can ignore it, almost everyone else will too.

I am also suffering from alopecia areata and let me tell you my story; i recently proposed a girl that i love the most and she wants to take time before she wants to be in relation . She asked me for a month and here i am having bald patches all over the head , eyebrows falling out. I lost all my confidence now . I have stopped talking to the girl i proposed and stopped talking to my friends cause i lost all my confidence to face them . I feel like losing everything in just 30 days. Now my head is crawling with suicide thoughts but i dont want to die neither want to live
There is also androgenic alopecia, gradual thinning. That's the kind of alopecia that I have. I've had it for 23 years now. Just now comfortable in my skin, happy with myself.
