Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Kremlin has no current plans to capture the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. According to President Putin, Russians are advancing towards northeastern Ukraine to build a buffer zone. Putin's statement comes after Moscow launched a ground assault near Kharkiv last week. Thousands of Russian troops stormed the border in what was their biggest build-up in 18 months. Ukraine has said that Russia has captured a few villages near Kharkiv. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, however, stated that Russia has only reached one of Ukraine's three borders in the Kharkiv region.

It’s never about believing but what makes sense. Russians only have 50k troops at border.The idea of this offensive in Kharkiv is to make a buffer zone so Ukraine can’t keep launching attacks on neighboring Russian towns.Second objective is to stretch Ukraines front lines thin by allowing Ukrainian troops to be moved from frontlines to Kharkiv area.These objectives have been completed.The last objective will be that eventually All of Ukraines defensive lines will break and collapse in this meat grinder war of attrition.
