I saw this video and this speech, and the next day I applied for a job I wanted so bad I could taste it but had been afraid to try for. I was sure they would turn me down. Not qualified enough, not have a solid enough work history. My brain devised EVERY reason to convince me I failed before I tried. Well, impulsively, I applied after watching this video. Well, I've been there for a couple of years; I have rapidly advanced and earned promotions to a mentorship position to help other newly hired agents succeed. I've never loved a job this much, felt this fulfilled, and when I realize I almost didn't even try! I just wanted to say that - you do really need to stop stalling and Get Up. The WORST possible outcome was that I didn't get the job, but if I hadn't even tried - I couldn't have gotten the job.

I have to say this is the only song that has gave me the courage to fight.I had a brain anyurism and caused me to have a stroke at 47 and yes paralyzed on. the left side and I have to struggle just to walk but I do it even though every part of my body hurts like crazy!!
The song that helped save my Life! Have prayed for 10 yrs to hear it! Bless you. It was the repetition of the words "get up" that finally convicted me to get off my bed of depression. Thank You.

He isn't just saying stuff he also went through it. He was addicted to coke and harion and any pills he could get a hold of. He got off drugs when his son was born. Then turned into an alcoholic and got sober. He still deals with addiction everyday. Lost alot of weight got healthy too. Maybe you should know about what he went through before making comments.
