Hi Allison, I’m so excited you are getting more into American Girl dolls again! They have so much charm and childlike innocence. I am cuddling Blair right now while I watch you organize. I recently organized my doll stuff too. The large freezer bags work great. 🥰😄
I did enjoy watching this video it’s nice to see there are collectors who enjoy AG dolls I am a grandma who collects AG dolls also but I really love pleasant company dolls and accessories I also collect many other dolls too thanks for sharing this video ❤
I think the AG sunflower hat is denim but that hat does look cute :). Who knows though, there have been a million items over the years so it might be from the time I was "off" AG.

I am only allowing myself to collect Smart Doll, Dollfie, Azone 1/6 and Monster High and I'm making myself focus on clothing now instead of dolls because when I get fixated I can get out of control fast. So many beautiful dolls out there though, it's hard.

I like this type of video! Watching while restoring some monster high dolls 😊 also I totally relate to what you said in the beginning about wanting to downsize your collection. I’ve been super overwhelmed by my collection lately and have sold almost 100 dolls 🫣 I think I’m heading toward a more curated collection of dolls that I totally love rather than buying every fashion doll I see on sale 🫢

This is an amazing and honest look into what a normal doll collector deals with. Your collection is way more organized than mine, all of my tiny Barbie accessories like shoes, purses, clothes, etc are all haphazardly placed in 3 of those wrapping paper storage containers that you can get during Christmas, with no plastic bags or anything to keep those tiny items from falling out or going missing, the only thing that is semi organized is the doll clothes and they are thrown into those reusable shopping bags from Walmart and target, the dolls are also thrown into those same types of bags organizied only by type I used to have it organized by year but my depression was bad a while back and I got so fed up with the state of it all that i dumped everything together with the hope of my ocd kicking in to sort it properly and it hasnt been sorted yet im now motivated to get it done
I feel you. My depression has been out of control lately. Discovering this hobby was life-changing, but like everything else I throw myself into during my manic episodes, I over do it and end up crashing so hard. I finally came up for air, looked around, and wondered where the heck all this stuff came from?!? It’s been so overwhelming. It triggered me right back into the melancholia. SMH. Anyway, it’s a process.
