Make more videos. I see a lot of interesting knowledge you have on other people's youtube videos. As a blacksmith enthusiast I'd love to see it from you. I hope others speak up too.

The only thing I would suggest is to put a sharpening choil on the skinner, I sharpen freehand down range , just to maintain it sharp, using a small handheld double sided stone with diamond on one side and ceramic on the other side. The stropping it on my belt strop. But at home I use the KME system and using the KME it’s better to have a choil. But 52100 is a versatile steel if ground and hardened properly, something you are an expert doing. Great job and great video, Josh. 😍😍👍👍

I had heard that 52100 didn't have the longevity that some of the higher end alloys sport, but dang! Had no idea it was that easy to bring back the edge. Strong sucker to... Heck of a little knife!

Clayton Anderson I definitely hope people don’t get me wrong. I still think 52100 has amazing edge holding ability. But once it has lost its edge you can get it back fast!

@@joshsmithknives Absolutely... Not a budget steel by any means, and has a great following by Spyderco enthusiasts. I had a desire to pick up one of their models in that steel when I found out it was used in aircraft bearings. That line of work requires it to be able to take the abuse.
