Correct analysis. Using lightning launch (LL) as example. I have multiple builds with HOF LL that I max plus 1 to Legend. My speed while dribbling the ball after the initial dribble launch doesn’t change. However, my dribble launches are faster and my ability to blow by a defender increases.

Max +1 on badges just increases overall probabilities to special abilities. For example, Posterizer on from Silver to Max +1 to Gold, just means you have a high ceiling to pull off posters.
Max+1 on badges that’s tied to other attributes caps are less effective. Max+1 silver to gold poster with bare minimum vert attribute for silver is a nightmare.
I should have used bronze to silver as an example, the vertical requirement is 65 for Bronze and 75 for silver. Not to mention speed with ball factors in (not directly tied to posterizer badge) but if you’re not fast enough to get into position to take advantage of the boost max +1 badge gives you then it’s worthless. It’s a lot of attributes tied to dunking. It’s better if your attributes are closer to the max +1 badge you’re going for. .

This is exactly why I tell people when they’re choosing their max +1 use a takeover that is taking up attributes to match your max +1. For example. I have a build with 89 mid range, if I choose a takeover that boosts midrange/ three point the ideal +1 would be set shot specialist in tier one and tier two maybe shifty shooter, since the attributes align with the badge it’ll be like you actually have the badge cause the attributes match the requirements with takeover.

yeah I feel like the MAX +1 just gives you better chance of triggering animations or make the shot. EX. I MAX+1 Posterizer from hall of fame to legend and you will get more contact Dunks
Could you just have a really low rebound character and slowly increase his rebound until he got your threshold animation? That would allow you to see how much the tier +1 actually does. You could do it with every level as you increase it

I think a way you can test it is just by giving a player with the gold badge attributes but have them equip a badge that’s a tier up. For example have a player with 91 steal (enough for gold glove) but equip hof glove on them
I feel all attributes do is unlock animations and badges determine success rate. I say this because I made both a 99 middy/85 3pt & a 99 3pt/85 middy and shooting feels the exact same on both.
he just did a video on this and that's not accurate. However, an 85 three can feel almost close to a 99 if you're shooting at the line because you have legend set shot specialist. Same thing for a fading middy, you may have an 85 but you have legend shifty shooter... the main difference between both builds is shooting deep 3s or contested shots in general
Max +1 is so dope. You could of use on ball menace as a test ot immovable enforcer. I run a offensive heavy build that need a boost on defense and the only way im bring it out is only when i can equip both max +1 otherwise I cant compete with that build on any game mode online because i will stumble and fall often.
I think one of the issues is they reset every season so you have to earn it every time. Imo if we are forced to earn it and it takes a reward slot from us getting a different reward at 15 & 30 Everytime it should seem more impactful or it'll seem as if 2k is selling us short by giving us the same rewards. Imagine if they took back the cap breaker we earn at level 40 because to me it's pretty useless by itself but if we earn 1 each season then by season 5 or 6 combined become something to shoot for. So maybe each season have them become a +1 but maybe like the elevators allow us to put a badge in the max +1 and make it permanent? Just spitballing but I'm sure the developers could come up with something like this
All I’m saying is this, I used my +1’s on post lockdown and rebound chaser cause I play rec and every center is a pure inside with 99 O board and 95+ post control and strength. First quarter I got killed on boards and in the post even with badge +1, but once my takeover started building (I get + D/O board and + Strength ) I literally locked the guy down so bad he ended up grading out. I think the +1s help to a point, then you need the attributes to back them up. With that being said if I use a +1 from this point on I’ll make sure my takeover will build my attributes for the badges I’m upgrading.
Dimer doesn't increase the speed of a pass, it boosts shot percentage for teammates. And it literally tells you that in game. Does nobody read anymore ?

99 rebound + legend rebound chaser will ofc be better than 96 rebound + legend rebound chaser with a +1. that’s logic. however, i would rather 96 rebound with legend rebound chaser, than 99 rebound and HOF rebound chaser, if that was hypothetically possible. that’s my opinion on the matter basically, more often than not the badge upgrade will be more impactful than the attributes without the badge upgrade
NGL, I have 96 and the +1 to legend chaser doesn't really do anything for me. It might be placebo, but I feel like it actually makes it harder to snag boards than just leaving it at HOF. Boxout is similar. Just not worth the +1 so I put it on paint patroller, deadeye, or paint prodigy that takes me from silver to gold. Those you can feel a difference. On my 6'6 guard, +1 goes to on ball menace from silver to gold. It's probably the most noticable difference out of any of the +1s I've used
could you do one deep testing the jump shot creator? like ruffly how much dose changing my shot from "very quick" to just "quick" effect my shot, or how much the visual Que slider effects your shot timing?
Certain badges you will feel a difference in max plus 1. Like there’s no real difference in box gold n hof but however gold interceptor n hof is night n day.

Yeah I've noticed Euros are the wave kind of but physical finisher is tight you just got a it's tricky because you at the left of animation play out and it really does most of the time look like you're going to get blocked or something I'm still kind of learning that but I have mine on Hall of Fame and then gold lay up mixmaster cuz I thought physical finisher would work without the layup mixmaster but I was really I was dead wrong
So Tutes, couldn't you use your testing method using for example the Player Attributes required for a Gold Badge, test it and then test again with the same attributes but just upgrade the Badge to Hoff? As you stated you can put Legend Lightning Launch on a 25 speed with ball.
If a statistical test is to be done it has to be on MyCareer mode because what we need to know is if there's something special going on if a badge was obtained through Max +1. What you are suggesting is just like typical badge testing.
Well this shows how powerful badge upgrades are. I messed around with a bunch of +1's, and my post lockdown to gold noticeably helped me in 1v1's against post cheese, HOF moving shot or whatever made my middie fades automatic, legend spot up gave me a huge boost in greens

So if I have silver paint patroller and plus 1 it to gold. Then instead of the badge being actual gold paint patroller, it’s a super buffed silver paint patroller with higher probabilities to execute.
Silver to gold pp def makes a big diff when making opponents miss inside dunks/layups, given you got that contest with at least a stick up. But if you had gold pp with more interior def, you'd get overall better paint defending animations, stick to your man better, and not get broken/pushed aside inside(from drivers, not pure str post scorers), from my experience. I have multiple builds with 77 int def and less and anything under 77 just feels harder to def get blocks inside, but the gold pp with max+1 def helps make dunkers/layers to miss if you near them

I think some benefit some don’t cause I know for sure I don’t feel a difference in lighting launch legend or hof when you Max plus 1 but I do feel the difference when I have 91 swb compared to 94 big difference but with on balll menace I feel the difference if I max plus one it to gold and I have it silver

Yesterday you said that a difference in badge upgrade is around +5 for speed with ball you should confirm your theory by testing if a player with 86 speed with ball but with a max plus one has the same speed with ball if the player went 91 speed with ball but without the max plus one
If you look at my speed with ball test, the physical gap of 10 points SWB is really small already. So if I do your suggested test, it will be so hard for me to verify which one is faster. You have to factor in margin of error as well. That test you are suggestion is risky and could result to misinformation that's why I didn't go for it. Honestly all stats and badges dnt matter. What matters is what the 2k algorithm decides. The game is completely scripted. How many times have u been having a great game greening all ur shots and out of nowhere u start playing like a 60 ovr. The game is set up to make us think it’s our fault so we spend more money on vc for builds and boosts to fix what we think is the problem when in reality the game is playing us not the other way around.
The people who asked for this probably need to retire from 2k for good. If you need to be spoonfed info that should literally be common sense, the game just isn’t for you.
the only thing you can test on my court is SWB in relation to Lightning Launch. Unfortunately the gap on SWB and LL is too small to use it as a reference. You can't even notice 10 point gap on SWB. It can cause misinformation if I use that method

Yesterday you said that a difference in badge upgrade is around +5 for speed with ball you should confirm your theory by testing if a player with 86 speed with ball but with a max plus one has the same speed with ball if the player went 91 speed with ball but without the max plus one
If you look at my speed with ball test, the physical gap of 10 points SWB is really small already. So if I do your suggested test, it will be so hard for me to verify which one is faster. You have to factor in margin of error as well. That test you are suggestion is risky and could result to misinformation that's why I didn't go for it. Trust me, I thought about a lot of possible tests on this topic and it's near impossible to pull off an accurate test. There's a reason why you haven't seen a statistical test on this yet even on any other YT channels. Thanks for your feedback

Honestly all stats and badges dnt matter. What matters is what the 2k algorithm decides. The game is completely scripted. How many times have u been having a great game greening all ur shots and out of nowhere u start playing like a 60 ovr. The game is set up to make us think it’s our fault so we spend more money on vc for builds and boosts to fix what we think is the problem when in reality the game is playing us not the other way around.
The people who asked for this probably need to retire from 2k for good. If you need to be spoonfed info that should literally be common sense, the game just isn’t for you.
Why can’t you test in my court?
the only thing you can test on my court is SWB in relation to Lightning Launch. Unfortunately the gap on SWB and LL is too small to use it as a reference. You can't even notice 10 point gap on SWB. It can cause misinformation if I use that method
Why not test this theory like you did with rebound chaser?
I tested Rebound chaser offline and there's no max +1 on offline mode
The max+1 is just a way to sell the season pass.
