When it’s used it’s to be sharp like a needle so having multiple boxes of each H, HB,and B pre sharpened, once dull you put it aside and pick up the next sharp stick, resharpen on your drawing breaks. It’s usually done on cold press water color paper like arches bright white and Fabriano Artistico white and Fabriano Roma paper some times mi tienties. The process can be very time consuming but yields great results.
Awesome review! All reviews should be this concise and yet detailed enough.
Thank you!

@natalia gomez yes I draw on cold press paper with Nitram .I sharpen the charcoal on sand paper.
I imagine by now you know that Nitram is NOT a vine charcoal. Still a very nice, very useful review. Thank you.
Thanks for the review, very informative.
NITRAM with others feel like oil painting. Marvelous
For the scratchy one I will do a experiment to solve the drawback/issue.
Norman Rockwell would have love and praise ( testimonials) this product.
Thanks for the video, just a small tip, lower the volume of the background music a bit ;)
Can you get porte a crayon ( old double ended metal holder) made in plastic
So ,so correct.
Very good and informative video, but the background music is very disturbing and annoying.
I make my own charcoal & pencil holder /extender in plastic (airport transport ).
Sadly ,that the speed that I work with , Nitram gets ' lost in the sauce '. Even the willow and vine. Too focus on my result
There is a smaller size and they are soft like the yellow are but they are square
This may be alike the type N.Rockwell liked
The way I use Nitram ,it feels like using oil paint.
So many dead artists would have used Nitram. Quite likely even Ingres instead of his graphite . We are living in unique time
So much of Nitram is wasted (TONS).
