I love coming back to this video when I have downtime just to watch/have on in the background to pretend I'm walking around the park with a friend. It's now my go-to relaxation video when I feel overwhelmed.
Last time I went, I was more into walking around the park and enjoying the atmosphere than I was getting on rides. It was quite enjoyable, though my feet might have had something to say about that. LOL. Being a walker, an explorer, and a natural for finding the quiet zones, I knew about those walkways already. Thanks for the tour. Almost felt like I was back again.
@@-sensibleChris True. Some go for the rides. I've gone solo, so I didn't have to worry about that. I will go on rides and enjoy them, but I don't feel disappointed if I miss some.
Thank you very much for this video, I smiled through most of the tour because I miss my yearly trips to Disneyland, and this brought back MANY fond memories. I'm looking forward to the California Adventure FULL TOUR and Downtown Disney FULL TOUR! Great job, Chris.
This is awesome, yes please do 4 different video of each section of windows on Main Street. Thank you Chris. We sure envy you being able to go to Disneyland so much. Thank you so much for doing these videos. We always feel like we are there with you.
I think my favorite trivia that you missed is how a lot of plants in Tomorrowland are edible!! They are trying to make it like a sustainable place where you grow your own food, so lots of the plants that look decorative are really vegetables!
Even though this was just you walkin' around the park, I actually really enjoyed watchin' this video, because I've never been to Disneyland before, so it was really cool to see a complete tour of the entire park! I am familiar with a lot of the ride names, because I went on many of the same ones in Disney World in Florida a few years ago, but I have never actually been on any of the rides at Disneyland. But one day I hope to go to Disneyland - and run into Chris walkin' around the park, see the park and go on lots of their rides! Really loved your grand tour of Disney World, Chris! Props to you for doin' a full tour of the park in one day! Thanks for this video!
Also things I miss are the Materhirn and the storybook ride. I agree about the outside if It's A Small World. So shocked and disappointed every time I go there. Seems like something Walt Disney would never have allowed ... EVER! Also what ever happened to Circle Vision!loved that ride. Loved the ride down Lombard Street, on the Fire Truck, and so many more. Did you say the building was empty? Question ... hiw did Star Wars become "Disney"?
The music change when you enter and when you leave is the best ever! I have a sort of muscle memory to how my body feels when I leave the park. True magic.
I would like to say thank you for the great tour of Disneyland you did an excellent job on narrating the exhibits of all the rides and the lands keep up the good work and keep on making more videos for me to watch and stay safe
My favorite tidbit about Adventure land is that you can kind of determine how crowded the entire park is by how easy or difficult it is to walk through that land
This video is in HDR!! Do you have more uploads in HDR? I wonder if this was intentional or not but the picture quality is awesome! If you don’t have an HDR TV, try watching on your iPhone or smartphone and see if you get the 1080p HDR option in the resolution settings.
Watching this video a year later from the UK. Love how comprehensive and knowledgeable you are. All the fun facts are great! Enjoy watching this as it reminds me of my time at Magic Kingdom in Florida in 2020.❤️
Thanks for the tour brings back memories of when i went there every year with my dad and adopted grandparents. RIP WALT DISNEY you did an awsome job with your team to creat all this. You will be missed lest we forget.
It was 60 hours that the park stayed open when Star Tours first opened. This was cool. Some of the windows in Adventure Land honor some of the Disney Imagineers
Chris, a very big thank you for doing this video! This full tour of Disneyland was so beneficial and very fun. I am in a lot of smiles and tears right now. One fact I have for you about Disney is Walt's brother, Roy Disney bought the very first ticket to Disneyland before it ever opened to the public and he got the ticket for only $1. I have been missing my Disneyland vacations ever since the park closed and I am so happy to see it back open. A video request I have for you to do is the Secrets Revealed of Rise Of The Resistance and Smuggler's Run, also a full tour of Disney California Adventure.
I love Disneyland and I loved this video for more than one reason. It is always nice to see Disneyland when not there but my oldest daughter is going to be 5 and is autistic and have been showing here videos of Disneyland to better prepare her since large crowds and to help with sensory overload. This video was great 👍 😊
I’m going to Disney pretty soon, and I’d like to say that almost all of the full tours are kind of exhausting to watch and very over the top about everything, but I think you did a great job! You made everything kind of short and sweet, and you explained everything just enough. I enjoyed all the facts and everything you said. Thank you!
This is like riding passenger seat, give me the wheel!?! Chris walks passed all the line enterances so nonchalant. I feel like a bug wanting to go into the light! Look, look, that line is so short! Ahhhhh!!!
Chris P., I love canoes, too, don;'t forget the Canoe in the original 1965 That Darn Cat! Sincce we all love the Mansion so much, please do a park differences video,as if it's not been suggested by anyone, lol,on the mansion differences! 34:05 Originally, from 1967-1973, it was "Carousel of Progress", since 1975, moved to Disney World. THAT ride HAS NEVER, at the same TIME, been in both parks, LOL! 33:35 Chris, I;m adult who has the problem with Autopia on the other end..too hard to drive lol.Take care (you, too, Miles and Amanda.)
It’s been years since I’ve been to Disneyland or DCA, and your videos have been really helpful in preparing for my trip in a couple weeks. This will also be my first multi-day trip to theme parks since developing fibromyalgia, so extra prep is vital to make sure my group and I all have a great time.
HI Chris, loved this Video as I'm coming to Disneyland for only the 2nd time in mid Oct. Hope to see you and the gang when we are in town. FUN MEMORY about the canoes, that were originally in WDW as well. In Aug 1979, I was 5 it was 104° and my family is from, NOT as hot Pennsylvania, 1000 miles to the NORTH. My family got into the canoes and as soon as we got about 10 feet from the Dock, one of those well known Florida summer monsoon rain storms started. As in DLR, there is no way to turn the canoes around because they are so long and it could tip the canoe. So in the "bucket pouring" rain the adults and CM's continued paddling as the kids either laughed, or as me and my younger sister, cried. As we had never been outside in such a storm and were frightened. But we finally made it back to the dock, and of course.... it STOPPED RAINING! Needless to say, everyone was soaked to the skin, the canoe was full of water, and the boat's sides were even more precariously touching the surface of the water. The boat was so full of water, that the cms and the adults had to drag the canoe up onto the dock and dump the water out. We were staying at Fort wilderness in our pop up trailer that we dragged all the way from Pennsylvania. We went back to the campground and got changed. My sister who was 4, screamed all the way back to our site because she didn't want to get back on another boat! What a crazy memory, but I just laugh so hard about it now. Luckily, somehow, I wasn't scarred for life about visiting WDW!!!
You almost cried when you saw the Falcon, I WAS IN TEARS!!! FULL ON!!! I was so over come. One of the most beautiful sights I ever saw. Thanks for the tour. I can't wait to go back. I still get very emotional when you were walking through Batuu
I just recently visited Disneyland for the first time after over 20 years of visiting (and working some too) at WDW and I just love this park. I love how everything is so close, how the entrances to each land practically hug each other, and the atmosphere is just better. A lot of the park elements of Magic Kingdom have been stripped away over the past couple of decades, but Disneyland still has that same feeling. Tony Baxter was right when he said that WDW was a spectacular experience, but Disneyland is charming. The west side of the park is practically perfect. MKs Tomorrowland is definitely better though. I hope to go back someday, but for now I will watch this tour and all the Disneyland content I avoided for spoilers for so many years.
35:51 - for the Star Tours 1987 opening - Disneyland was opened for 60 hours non-stop - and if you arrived between midnight and 4:00 am - (on those dates) it was only $ 14.00 for admission.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video. I can't make it down to Disney for a while so this makes me feel like I am there! It would be awesome if you could make a video like this where you explore each of the lands. Have a great day!
LOVED this video! Great job!! We love going to Disneyland and it's always changing, in a good way lol I noticed that many of the visitors were adults, that makes me think that so many of us, myself included just want to be kids. pleasing our inner child and feeling genuinely good. the tea cups had a bunch of adults, one full of grown men. We all just want to feel that.....feeling. I hope someone gets what I'm trying to say.
You are the BESTat giving us the best of Disneyland. Thank you so much for all the love and kindness you give to the PPP community. This is why I love this channel and the two of you. Many hugs and much ❤️ .
Thank you!.We are from Florida and have been to Disney World more times than I can count. Next year we are going to travel to Disneyland for our first visit to see the difference.
I have never been to Disneyland and I was looking for a video to show me everything there. This video was absolutely perfect! I love the fun facts as well. ❤️
Holy cow, i didnt realize you did this channel too! I recognized you from FanX! You are easily the best hype man out there. I personally believe FanX would not be what it is without you.
Thank you for the commentary with the tire sometimes I like hearing just the sounds but I’ve never been to Disney lane only Disney World so I appreciate the tips and history!
Thanks Chris for the videos. My daughter is in Disneyland this week for her Her 21st birthday which was last year. But we all know what happened last year! She said she rather go to Disneyland then to Las Vegas. I told her to watch your videos before she went. Thanks again for all your fun and informative videos.
Thank you very much for this video. It was awesome. I miss Disneyland is my favorite park. I know you were a Disney Fan. I am a Disney Fan. Or I miss Disney Califorina Adventure Park. Good job Chris. You show us the video?
Great tour, thank you. Being from Long Beach, CA., I've literally been to Disneyland HUNDREDS of times. Before it became the Tarzan Treehouse, it was the treehouse from the movie, 'Swiss Family Robinson.' You could hear the famous pipe organ playing as you walked by. Tom Sawyer's Island is fun for kids. There's tons of tunnels, etc. for them to run and explore and often times there are characters on the raft over to the island (like Captain Sparrow). Splash Mountain closed in May 2024 because most people wouldn't know what it's from anymore (due to the movie 'Song of the South' no longer being available because of it's depictions of slavery) which is a shame. The ride has been re-vamped based on The Princess and the Frog. Right next to Winnie the Pooh (opposite the entrance to Splash Mountain) is a theatre that used to host Country Bear Jamboree. I loved that show but it hasn't been running for several years. The entrance to it is still there though. If you look in the window above Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Fantasyland, the wicked queen parts the curtains and stares out every few minutes.
My favorite detail in the park is that right where the base of the tree that holds up the Indian Jones sign there is a little house carved into it and it belongs to the "little man in disneyland" which is a leprechaun from the book little man in disneyland and it was made to advertise disneyland back in the fifteys
when i was a kid i would watch disney vault late at night and saw the 1960s documentary on when disneyland was being made. it was so fascinating to watch
Man, walking right under the People Mover tracks. I love this video but did Amanda make you a homemade Dole Whip with extra Rum? Your tange kept getting tungled. Hahahahha!
Great video Chris as always, but you forgot to mention the Submarines and the Monorail. However, I can't wait for the Batuu secret revealed video as I am a huge Star Wars Fan "Bantha milk is much better". A few things I wish you mentioned in this video is the name change from Bear Country to Critter Country along with Country Bear Jamboree turned into Poohs Adventure, Swiss Family Robinson to Tarzan, along with where there are remnants of old attractions like "Natures Wonderland." Also, there is suppose to be a tunnel from the Haunted Mansion to a cave on the Pirates Lair.
My favorite thing about the shops in Batuu is nothing says “ Star Wars” on it (except maybe a tag.) It’s all so immersive you can only purchase what real folks who live there can purchase. Finally all the theming matches! No Mickey shirts & very little plastic stuff to be found. So cool.
Love watching this one I could have sworn that Pinocchio had been there forever. Thanks for clarifying 🙂 the walk around winded you. That's why we take the 🚂 🤭
I gotta be honest, I'm a little squidged out by you going the WRONG WAY around Disneyland! Lol All of my muscle memory is twitching. I bet you go through grocery stores backwards too. YEEK!
U literally would spend half a day on Sawyers Island in the early 1960's! I was a bit disappointed the Calvary Fort was just sitting there abandoned. 🥺
Hey Chris, great video, as always! Did you know that the inside of the Golden Horseshoe is an exact replica of the saloon in the 1953 Doris Day movie “Calamity Jane”? As the story goes, Walt asked Harper Goff to design the Disneyland saloon to resemble the one in the movie; He didn’t know that Harper was actually the set designer on that movie and still had the original plans. So when you see the movie, you’ll notice that it’s an exact replica!
I'm from Tijuana and sadly the border has not opened due to COVID, but this was an amazing TOUR, loved the facts you gave us and I also loved to hear the background Disneyland music again, so cool. I miss going to the parks but this helped thank you!!. Regards

I usually skip narrated tours. Don't know how long it takes to edit but this was heartfelt and on point. Watched it twice. Well done! Just excellent!

I haven’t been to Disneyland since Nov 2018. I’ve been missing it so much. Thank you for this! Much love from Hawaii 🤍
Hey Chris, lovely video as usual. 28:10 I had no idea that the UK had a version of "It's A Small World"!
Great video, nice to be there and get the grand tour
I appreciate this video. I am a Disney World fan but have always been curious about Disneyland 🌞
You pointed out SOOO many details I've never noticed before.
Thank you so much. I really needed this today. You're the best! : )
I admire your constant enthusiasm.
Been waiting for this!
Awesome Video... you have quite quickly become one of my favorite vloggers...thank you for the great content!
My favorite thing about the shops in Batuu is nothing says “ Star Wars” on it (except maybe a tag.) It’s all so immersive you can only purchase what real folks who live there can purchase. Finally all the theming matches! No Mickey shirts & very little plastic stuff to be found. So cool.
I'm starting a petition to let Chris do a full jungle cruise tour
Love watching this one I could have sworn that Pinocchio had been there forever. Thanks for clarifying 🙂 the walk around winded you. That's why we take the 🚂 🤭
I gotta be honest, I'm a little squidged out by you going the WRONG WAY around Disneyland! Lol
All of my muscle memory is twitching. I bet you go through grocery stores backwards too. YEEK!
I’m a rebel like that. 😂💚💙
