    I actually felt sorry for that Kurdish Iraqi guy. He came to the US legally and even fought for the country losing his friends in war for the selfish ambitions of the U.S. empire and this is how they treat him

    • @jgong1
      @jgong1 День тому

      The video has a lot of edits. The Kurdish man had a hit on an armed and dangerous alarm. It actually should have lit up on primary. That cut that out. Also it is standard procedure in response to an armed and dangerous situation. Even if its not a match they have to process for a passport override in order for his passport not to trigger the alarm in the future. Part of that process is taking his fingerprints to exclude him from the record. And throughout the interaction they all seem professional. This was an old video like 10 years ago.

    So happy for Phillipino family. They emigrated legally. Waited for years but the are here. Indeed, stamping their own passport is priceless. I had to go through entire process of full immigration cycle of legal system from a to z myself 30 years ago. I know what it is. Green card interview , waiting for that stamp…. still have chills

    (This is based on what was in the video, not what may or may not have been said off camera)
    You would think if you detained a Vet from your own military based on mistaken identity (especially while you KNEW that you were being filmed) that you would at least make a quick apology.
    Yes they were just doing their job while they were investigating, but they could at least be polite once they found out they had the wrong person!

    I love and appreciate these shows. I learned a lot. US immigration and customs officers are no nonesense officers and take their job seriously.
    That was sweet of the US immigration officer making the Filipino family first step in America memorable. He knows the sacrifice families make to get a chance to that American dream.
    My sister in law came in with her children after getting hired to work as a nurse in NY. I had to tell her not to get nervous during interview at JFK because her papers are legitimate. When the Immigration officer checked her salary contract ,she was told that her salary is low and must demand for higher salary. That was nice as well.

      I've been watching the Canada and Australia border security. The USA border security so far that I've seen are way more lenient and nice on how they treat people coming from somewhere else. Australia is like we'll give you 10 min to change or minds on why we shouldn't cancel your visa. So the people give it and you can tell their on some that are legit and they are still like nope we're canceling your visa. They already made up their mind. Why give them 10 mins. But yeah I didn't like they way they treated her either. Theirs always that bad egg. But they are not all like that.

If you were born in another country or have an ethnic name you should be so honored to be profiled and targeted and detained for secondary inspection because of it. Who cares if you're innocent? I notice that in the UK, NZ and Canada Border Force shows, the immigration offices take people into clean private rooms, for a one-on-one conversation, , record and document responses, follow a procedure to decide if the person is admissible or not, etc. Very organized and respectful. However, the US Border Security officials take people to dirty storage-like "cell ", gang -up on the person to ask random questions (in a disrespectful way).

    I always watch these shows because it gives me an idea of what to expect when I go to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras. I watched an episode on ordinary tv and they had a segment about an elderly Texan couple who on a whim decided to go to Canada. The elderly husband admitted that he had a pistol in his vehicle when asked and right away Border Security officer put him under arrest for smuggling a gun. Well, for 1. it isn't smuggling if he admitted he has it, snd 2. they should have asked him if he has a bad heart or suffers from from anxiety attacks because they don't want him to have a heart attack or have an anxiety attack when they put him under arrest. They could be a little humane. Not every body that goes into another country is deliberately breaking their laws.
    He told them he has a permit to carry. Okay then where are the signs that say that you have to declare your guns/ammo. even if you have a permit. They should have signs plastered on the windows snd be readable before you go through the doors, and have signs right on the posts before you go through the gates to get through.
    How these officers treat the travellers goes a long way. If she had said to him, "The laws in Canada are totally different from the laws in America. Once you go through the border, you are now in a different country and the permit to carry a gun isn't worth the paper it's written on. You'll have to a bide by our laws now and you can't carry a gun into our country. They should have given him the benefit of doubt that he didn't know and let him off with no fine.
    I don't know if the couple have plans of ever going back again, but I'm pretty sure that incident put a damper on wanting to go back.
    So please, border security everywhere, plaster signs all over the place about gun laws (and that having a permit to carry doesn't mean a thing). Place the signs so that everyone can read them. Maybe people might want to go back for another holiday.
    Love your videos,

      No. I’ve crossed into Canada by land/sea and one of the questions asked at primary screening is if one has any weapons. He lied to an officer, which is a crime by itself. Canada doesn’t recognize Texas gun permits, and he had a loaded, concealed gun. His permit wasn’t even valid in Washington state, so he broke the law there and likely several other states.
