    Hey everyone I just made a "how to make it rain tutorial" and I feel like no one has ever covered the technique, yet it is so easy to do and it's pretty effective I also show how to make a sweet blood splatter effect with the same trick, it's not on a massive scale like this but bare with me, you can take this effect absolutely anywhere with you and there is no set up involved, it would certainly help out a lot of people looking for some great realistic rain effects in their film and photography projects! If anyone has time to see it I feel like it would really help you out if you wanted to pull off a realistic rain effect with little effort!

    why not just wait for real rain..

    • @ant4613
      @ant4613 5 років тому +10

      lol..... I'm not going to act like I'm an expert on this topic because I'm not, but I think movies are on timed schedules, they have to film/shoot the movie within a certain time period. So they can't just wait for rain, plus the reason I'm on this video right now is because I'm watching a movie where literally every scene has pouring rain. It typically doesn't rain for hours at a time, obviously it depends on the location but say the movie is 2 hours long, in between scenes, all the set up/prep for other scenes, filming can take a long time. So they need to do stuff like this because it's probably not going to rain in the location they're shooting the movie for multiple hours. It's too unreliable, ultimately. Where I live, sometimes it'll rain super hard for 5 minutes, then 5 minutes later, it's sunny. The weather is unpredictable.

      Also its because you have to backlight the rain or it wont show up on camera.

      film student here; on real sets we run using strict shooting schedules. each shot has to be done by a certain day and time. on feature films, each shot (and the time to when we should complete the shot) is often pre-planned days or even weeks in advance. on top of that, it becomes extremely costly because executive producers have to pay the crew and cast and rent equipment regardless if they are shooting or not to keep them under contract
