Hurry up Clark I’m freezing my bagetts off out here.
Best thing I ever got in a baggie was some 🔥🌲
Knew what you were going to say about "the GOAT" before you said it. Drives me nuts. I almost think getting annoyed becomes more fun as you grow up. Thanks JM
Some baggie figures were sent to certain large retailers for use in ads and promotions without having to use the retail inventory. But yeah the majority came from catalogs like Sears.
GI Joe was the same way. You could buy a multi-figure pack, and what you get was bagged figures with a pre-cut file card that's only printed on one side.
I have a 1984 mailer box Emperor still in the original Kenner baggie. Catalog and original box. AFA U85. It displays awesome.
I always thought that they always came on card back, never knew that catalogs sent them that way back then, so that’s interesting.
i had to order emperor palantine and nein numd through tokens in Britain in the 80s . i remember they come in a kenner bag .
i like your videos . they make my day . thanks junkman .
I just got a baggie of legal from NJ
I call bag figures butt figures
I've been wanting a Jedi Luke sealed in Kenner baggie real bad.
I was so close to getting it, too!
It was a perfect specimen.
I'm no expert, but I'm thinking that all the figures came in a bag at some point.
Sometimes it's hard to tell if some of the bags are real, because there's too much space in the bag and it may not even be marked with the Kenner stamp.
Thanks for the video
I'll bet you have a "Farmboy Luke" in a "Baggie!" lol
No such thing :)
Baggie, in the U.K. is what a deal of heroin’s referred to, because it comes in a tiny plastic bag. - “Scored me a baggie.” - Heroin’s also called Junk! 😂
So if you were selling ‘skag’, in the U.K. you really, really would be the Junkman!!
🥰
We refer to any drug sold out of bags as "baggies" in the States as well and sometimes, "a sack" is the same thing. Junkman's territory has High-speed Chicken-feed sold by the sack😆
Keep those action figs in bags OUTTA THE CLOSETS!!
What’s a melaway offer?
Not sure. I’ll find out soon and let you know. Never heard the term. Thanks
It's never lost of me how much effort you put into these videos, right down to the jokes and editing.
Btw I hate the term baggie too. Sounds like we're all 4 years old, not guys in our 40s and 50s 🙄
I had a few of these that I sold with my collection, including that C3-P0. I wish I hadn't sold them. 😕 That's kinda funny, I never realized baggie was considered slang. There were some words that really used to bother me years ago😂😂😂 I emailed you a link with a non toy video I thought you might like. I think it's funny anyway 😂
I forgot about the time Positive K called you. I have to watch that video again. :)
Epic video
just like you and Russ... ♫♪ bag boys, bag boys ♪♫
I hate when people say G.O.A.T..
I'm not big on grading, but it makes sense to grade something in the bag if the bag is in good shape.
If they're just sending the bag off without the figure in it THAT would be stupid.
People talking about grading things is about as bad as people saying G.O.A.T.
Sometimes I don't think they know WHY things get graded due to what they are sending away.
Another way to look at this subject is this.... if we all liked the same stuff in Star Wars collecting, it would suck. Imagine if everyone went after the same stuff. You would have a hard time collecting your favorites. I wasn't a fan of graded figures my first few years. Now I like hunting carded, loose, baggie, graded and so on.
Thanks for explaining this, Junkman.
There must have been a lot of extra bagged salacious crumbs and C-3PO with removable limbs figured out there cuz I found both online for like under 10 bucks (this was the early 2000s but still)
JM, when I worked at Starlog Universe, we had a big cardboard box that we kept behind the sales counter FULL of bagged vintage figures. Mind you, they weren't in the official Kenner baggies, but some sort of baggy that had a barcode sticker like the ones our store used on one side of it. I bought a loose Yoda one time; not sure what I did with it, lost it long ago.
Cool job ;)
@@ThatJunkman Yeah, it was. The store was around from April 1994 to December 23, 1995. Then it went bye bye. The company guy that funded it lost interest, sold the company, and moved on to something else. He was the kind of guy that has had 10 or more entertainment gigs since then, always creating something and dumping it.
I never bought a figure in a bag, although some of them come in a bags when they are packed in a box.
True
DO you know if "Farm boy" Luke figure ever came in a Kenner Baggie.
I found a He Man in Kenner bag!
Was that a Mooninite on the rotary phone?
Soooooo would that be MIB? Mint In Bag ??????
SIB (sealed in bag)
Ahhhh yes I knew there had to be an acronym for that Thanks 😊
