Hi Laurie, I spent Easter 1963 on a school mates family farm at Warooka. His cousin Enoch Murdock farms at Green Range and he is the weed sprayer for the Friends of the Porongurups. Cheers, Brent
G'day Brent. I as touring around the Yorke Peninsula zigging and zagging, and pulled into town on Good Friday. I had been to the Inneston NP the day before, and was heading toward Yorketown and Edithburgh. I love that part of the world. Hope all is well with you, cheers, Laurie
Such a neat looking town. It says a lot about the attitude of the local people that actually live, day to day, in our small rural communities that are usually a joy to visit. Phil.
We have often stayed at Warooka and its always been great. It isnt free but near enough. They simply ask for a donation, put it in the envelope provided and drop it into the shop or letter box at the post office. Confoundingly easy to lose directions in such a small but neat town
Thanks for dropping by Jill. Warooka is a junction, and yes, I had to check that I was going where I thought I was going, or was that thought that I wanted to go. It didn't matter, it was all new ground for me. Wonderful country. Cheers, Laurie.
Lived in Warooka for a couple of years. You went past my old house next to the hairdresser. Judy the hairdresser one of the loveliest people you could meet. It's a great town only about 300 people
