I agreed always choose the scientific method for all of our nations. 0:55 Multi-culturalism allows us teaching each other and spread science to everyone.
cultural exclusion doesn't actually give you any new accepted cultures as japan that racial segregation doesn't already give you so you were right to cancel enacting it.
that's correct, it makes other cultures that are related to your accepted cultures also accepted but since only japanese is accepted, it's actually a debuff
@@LudietHistoria yeah cultural exclusion is basically only good when you have a primary culture whose non-heritage trait has cultures of multiple heritage types with that trait, such as english, spanish, and portugese-speaking cultures, but Japanese's non-heritage trait belongs only to its own culture so
47:36 "look at that, it went from three years to 32 months" Yeah, that because 4 month past. The only thing that (significantly) effects the mandate is amount of great and major powers in your block, if I'm not mistaken
Make technocratic Spain video but without conquering South America. Instead make them join your power block that will revolved around tech and trade. Focus on Africa and Asia, controle Atlantic traderouts and reclaim Philippines!
I didn’t know about the abdication process, that’s new to me. I’ll have to try that. I’m still getting use to the new mechanics with forming Germany. There’s a lot to relearn but I’m liking the update.
What I value in your videos is that you really show economy game, not only warfare. I like some of other paradox games players like Laith, Feedback Gaming, Mountain general, OPB, etc. But out of all of them you can find the optimal level of playing tall and get me interested in the playthrough. Some of them just don't care about economy or just to the bare minimum to survive. What you're doing is really hitting my spot of efficient gameplay. Thank you for your videos, they always make satisfied after watching each video.
I've never seen Prussia be able to form Germany in 1.7, only North German Federation buf often it ends loosing territories to France; in my last campaign it became a subject of Russia and France conquered not only Renania but also Hesse and Saxony
How the hell did you get recognized so early ... i tried playing japan following your vids and while i did get recognized and im in top 5 ranked great power, my economy is unstopable etc etc, i only managed that past 1900 ... ??? and to get recognized i had to go to war against a major power, i just couldnt get the score to go up without a fight.
Honestly leave the colonies alone, they've suffered enough under Spain, what you should actually do is unite Iberia under one crown and press your claim as the true successor of the Roman Empire.
ludi, how does one get the rising sun flag for japan? for me, i only get the red disk flag or the republican one with the blue border like you have in this video
I think its fair that prussia is weak in most games. The game just isnt able to emulate how smart, devious and resourceful Otto Von Bismarck actually was. 9 out of 10 times it would fail. We're living in the 1/10 timeline
No it wouldn't. The Unification of Germany was inevitable, be it under Bismarck or anyone else. Prussia was pretty much the ruler of Germany in 1836, just not officially. It's pretty sad that you literally never get to see Germany formed in 1.7
Ludi I achive to pass a lot of legislation and I manage my economy greatly and grow a lot. But I always have problems with haters. I always have 10 times more haters to government than loyalist. How I do manage that? And honestly it doesn't seem to have much impact. You can do some tricks to bypass the problems. How I solve it how important it is?
Increase your standard of living, don't fire people from buildings if possible so change PM only when needed, don;t fuck around with it changing to one and another frequently, get better laws that don't discriminate anyone

so I normally do speed 5, but with speed 3 I can micro a lot, change between required buildings, change the queue basically and min max shit a lot better, it's why I got such a good economic growth mid 1870s
I understand, it just sucks to see youtubers run it at 5 speed, whereas my crap pc runs at the same pace, even on 5 speed. I’m enjoying your Japan run though, it makes me want to redo my own.
Germany formed in the U.S. game I'm playing. They took Bohemia but didn't take Baden for some reason. I actually tagged over and started a play, then tagged back because that was too cringe. Also, do the Technocratic Spain run. But don't conquer South America with the military. Use the Power Bloc and influence them that way. Already seen plenty of Spain reconquering the colonies videos.
IT IS A SKILL ISSUE. Here's what you do: The second you start going into credit (red line financial) you decrease construction. Taking loans as a non GP is death cause of the interest. Great powers and majors get -50% and -25% loan interest rate. YOU GET EXTRA lol so you pay significantly more interest compared to GP and MPs. Don't take loans as Japan and you're ok.
With how fast Ludi closes technological advancements who's willing to bet he doesn't enable new production methods for like 10 years after they've been researched? 🤭
i never tought about assimilation and this gimmick to get parlamentary republic. I'm really loving the way that you get to teach us what are your ideas and the effects that come within, it's dynamic and fun to watch
Yep, Prussia is being quite weak in my only game so far. I am playing as the UK and I tried to become friends with them against the french but nope, they were too weak.
it would be cool to see an anarchy run in the new version :) I would also appriciate it because it probably means learning a lot of population manipulation :D
I followed with you for like the first few years but a few changes, I passed public schools before pressing state Shinto and now have both legislations lol. The Brit’s forced investment rights in the 50s forcing me to open up. Also pumped out way more unis so tech is way higher. Thanks for the inspiration !
honestly, i really enjoy these let's plays wherein you explain how and why you are going about things-- tutorials are useful, but just seeing how someone plays the game feels infinitely more useful given that you are able to see how the various systems interact. if i had a SINGLE critique, it would be that you click away a lot of events really fast (not all of them though!), and as a new player, it would be good to sort of understand them more, especially because you mentioned they were extremely important for how you got japan into the position it is in, in this video. be it how/why the event is popping up, or why you choose one decision over another. paradox has a way of making them inconsequential sometimes, but then other events will one-button-click explode everything, so it's good to know HAHA cheers! can't wait to see more!
