Christ,,,,,,,,my 5 year Bec crush continues....Thank you both.
These videos showing the whole workthrough of a shoot are awesome. The two of you do such a great job highlighting how little changes add up to massive improvements in the resulting photos.
Thanks so much Matt, this tutorial is more similar to what we put on Inspire but every now and then like to put one on UA-cam too :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer and thanks for that. Would like to subscribe on Inspire, but have no opportunity
I enjoy when you shoot Bec, she's just super cute.
"not a model" , breaks our hearts again)
Beautiful Bec 💋
It really is!
Bravo, Peter --- you have an amazing eye and you really captured Bec's stunning features. 🦊🦊and her sweet sensual nature.
Many thanks!
So, yeah... you definitely got the Hero Shot. Amazing. Loved the transition at the end form color to b/w. Bec is my favorite feather duster. ☺ Thank you so much for the art and Bec for being an incredible muse.
Thanks so much
Seriously though can you take a bad pic of Bec??!!
The photos with the Summilux lens are really nice.
Yes love this lens
Any shots showing legs and feet is always a win in my book! 👍👍
Eyes like saucers…. Just draw you in like a flame. Magnificent images as always
Thank you so much 😀
Great shot Peter bec you look beautiful as always ❤️
I love it. This was a great example of not being satisfied with a shot that is ok, but keep working until it’s perfect. Love you guys, and the way you work.
Thank you
tHE BEC IS ON FIRE
Wow , I hardly recognised Bec without a glass of wine, excellent performance.
Thanks for this masterclass in lighting.
Lol glad you enjoyed it
Bec looks gorgeous as always. I noticed you do a lot of in camera effects. Sometimes when there is a time constraint I tend to do the effects in post because if I notice an issue after the fact when doing it in camera, it is much harder to correct. Thats when I prefer the freedom of having complete control over the image in post.
Fair enough, I prefer to look through the lens and paint :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Well I'm definitely an admirer of your work. The results are worth the effort.
I'm pretty sure Bec could wear a potato sack or a bin liner and still look awesome with your photography skills elevating that awesomeness to something totally awesome.
Beautiful. Still the whole time I wanted you to lift Bec up one or two steps. The way you worked towards light "comping down from above", wonderful.
Fantastic demonstration Peter Coulson, thank you and Beck for sharing so much in this channel!
Our pleasure!
I'm glad to see you back in the studio shooting with Bec, love the set, looks like you're out out by the sea and docks. This makes Bec's legs look great and I didn't realize she had nice long legs.
Bec has amazing fashion legs
love a shoot with an idea rather than just a "modelly" photo. looks fabulous.
Thanks heaps
Great video. Lessons of the day : work, try, ajust, shoot, work, try ajust, shoot, change lens, ajust, work...etc. 👏 Many thanks.
Thanks
…….taking notes. Love to learn from Peter and Bec
Yep. No words needed at the end. Nailed it!
😊
Love your attention to creative, rather than mere technical detail. Great subtle posing from Bec as always. Superb final image.
Thank you! Cheers!
That looked amazing when you switched to the antique lens :) Great job on the set and bokeh!
Thanks so much! 😊
Cowgirl looks great with this feel
Wow. This one is something different. It's so awesome. Love the mood of the picture. You've done it again, Peter and Bec.
I'm really glad that I came across your channel. Keep up with what you do
Thank you so much for all your support, we are glad you came across our channel too
Awesome work! I love the set you put together and great lighting with the mirrors. I got to grab some mirrors now. This is my favorite Bec shoot.
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it
I’m constantly learning from these videos, but the biggest take away is the pre-model prep, getting it right before you commit the model to doing ‘their thing’.
thanks for your support
I love the Hollywood look and feel. How you constructed everything is amazing.
Thank you
Thanks for taking us through the process Peter, and Bec being as awesome as ever!
It must be difficult to know when to stop tweaking the lights, etc, but that comes with experience I imagine.
So true!
Absolutely Amazing!
Well done, Sir!
Thank you kindly!
Tonsay ist with your words: awsome!
Thank you
Love this. The light looks like it comes from a skylight or something. Thanks for showing the process and that you can allow yourself to constantly adjust.
Thank you so much, glad you liked it, yes always adjusting :)
Go Peter ! Go Bec !
Masterful lighting. Highly effective.
Thank you
Like seeing the complete work through to get that one perfect shot and I love how the video just end with that. Epic!!
Thanks, once you have the shot that's the end 😁
Favorite photography channel on YT. More useful application info than most all others. Keep up the original and interesting work!!!
Wow, thanks!
These videos you do where you start the video from just an idea and then set things up is exactly what I enjoy seeing the most. Great video. Ive always want to see you do a "Live" on youtube so maybe that could also be a thing.
Thank you
Thank you. Another great video. Bec is beautiful and my favorite model.
Thank you too!
Awesome run through Peter. Thanks to you and Becs for the continued tuition, very inspiring!
Our pleasure!
I originally saw you on Matt Osbourne's site aka Mr Leica here in the UK and now I simply cannot stop watching your excellent videos and tutorials. I absolutely love your work and find it so inspirational that it makes me want to get out and shoot more. Thank you for opening up my mind and re-awakening my passion for photography. It is now on my bucket list to come to Australia and attend one of your workshops. Keep up the great work you and Bec make a great team.
wow thank you so much, happy to have inspired you, hope to see you in Australia :)
Wow. This was so good. Well done Peter and Bec. Stunning result!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer I don't believe there would be a more succinct way to demonstrate your style. Start with a concept, build the set, light it then adjust to meet your vision with amazing, almost pedantic attention to detail and a propensity to look, shoot and adjust. The result is superb.
I love this. Yall are amazing.
and so are you, thanks
Great ideas and props.
Thanks!
Really interesting, with various lens on SL2.
Bec also… as well charming.
This was amazing!!!! Love the set, love the concept, and the process was very informative. Bec had that old timey look going on as well. Great video!!
Thanks so much!
Your back alley conceptual photo set is interesting. We'll done. Enjoyed.
Thanks heaps
Great job you two, the abrupt ending felt like the ending of a european movie lol
Lol thanks :)
Great video, thank you for sharing this information with us.
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing how you built a set out of the stairwell in your studio.
Thank you
Wow, what a result. Amazing work. I really enjoyed watching this video and how you constructed the beautiful image Peter of the lovely Bec!
Well done guys! 😎🍻🍻🍻
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing work by you all. Really nice to see the thought process and how you achieve the look you wanted with the difference between the lenses as well
Thanks so much!
Final result was gorgeous. Damn
Thanks
Watching this after hearing your discussion on not being driven purely by profit motive helped me appreciate how this type of photography is a true example of art, and it is unlikely to be created by someone who is trying to minimize the time invested in order to maximize their profits.
for a real artist it's not about the money
Bec is sooooo patient - great job showing how detailed your build-up process is
Thanks so much
Niiiice! I am impressed a lot how you build a scene for that shoot! The pictures are awsome
Thank you
Always cool seeing you work, but of course, with Bec as your model, you could be a lousy and she'd still look beautiful. 😜
Amazing shoots, Peter! Loved it the concept, the lights...
Thank you
Again, an amazing video and so learnfull. I am about to rip out the ceiling and flooring above, out of my home studio. I am gonna save the old floorboards for props. Thanx for that.
Our pleasure
Again, thanks for another excellent tutorial shoot showing some cool lighting techniques. As always, the gorgeous Bec couldn't look better with her different facial expressions and bare feet that makes it more feminine and natural. More please!👏📷👣
Our pleasure Jeff, thanks for watching
awesome lighting
Thanks
So I have a few things laying around so I’ll turn this area into a grungy alley 😂! Incredible! Thank you!
Thanks for watching
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer never miss one!
A different theme today, I liked it. Almost had an "On the Waterfront" look; I could see Marlon Brando coming down the stairs in a white T shirt. This is Peter's genius and years of experience making something out of nothing. Bec as usual looking totally HOT! Nice!
Early on you changed lenses which totally worked. What did you change from and to?
Thanks Bob, I started with the Zeiss Otus 55mm f1.4 then the Leica - Noctilux-M 1:0.95/50 ASPH and finished with a 1968 Leica - Summilux-M 1:1.4/50
Wow, this turned out really nice. A lot of work, but such a wonderful result.
Thanks so much 😊
Fascinating tutorial as always. Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Your photos are inspiring. Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you! Will do!
I only enjoy the videos where Bec is modelling.
You´re a master, period!
Thank you
Awesome Hero Shot at the end !! Well done! ( as always lol )
Thank you
love the bokeh frame and overall look of this
Thanks heaps
YUMMY
Beautiful use of bokeh on this shoot, it give the pictures something extra. I have an old beat up camera, with a light leak, but I still use it sometimes as it now has a built in bokeh!😜
Awesome :)
This is really amazing.
Thanks so much
Peter, you’re really picky. All of those shots a gorgeous.
Yes I am picky 😊
thnks master. Bec is the Photo
Yes, it is
This one was very cool.
Thanks
I'm interested in the reason for every shoot you do, you always represent the model on your T shirt. Thanks to you both for your time and explanations.
Brilliant. You started with an Otis, but then went to what? I missed that choice. Love these work throughs; as an old theater LD, love constant light. All my best to you and Bec.
Glad you enjoyed it, I started with the Zeiss Otus 55mm f1.4 then the Leica - Noctilux-M 1:0.95/50 ASPH and finished with a 1968 Leica - Summilux-M 1:1.4/50
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer and you finished with the ‘Lux?
On video, Bec seems so meek but you are able to bring out her boldness in your work-Quite masterful.
Also, any info on that “tripod” your using would be appreciated. I’m sure it costs more than all of my equipment combined.
It's in the description, camera stand: The brand of stand he uses has been discontinued, but this is very similar www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...

@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer ahhh. Excellent. Thank you to whomever manages this page.
You do amazing work
Thank you so much 😀
I absolutely love watching your process… I try to retain some of your techniques in my own studio without trying to copy your style
Thanks
Beautiful!🎉
Thank you! 😊
Exquisite. 😍😍
Thank you! 😊
Mighty mirror marvels eternal
You're cute Beck❤️
Awesome!
Thanks!
I've worked as a pro photo assistant for photographers from food and packaging to fashion and wedding photography. Do you use assistants in the studio and how about a lesson on how to work as a team on a shoot. The photographer is the captain of the ship but a good team makes a shoot efficient and consistent. I've worked with photographers who don't know how to used their team.
My team is Bec and I 😁
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Always?
@@DrewMtl Yes
Great video Peter. Personal taste, but I do think the out of focus elements in front of subject is a bit gimmickry and
a bit distracting. Bec's modeling is perfected.
13:10 is best...
I really like that mirror idea. To be clear, it’s bouncing back the continuous LED light? Can I ask, what is the power of the LED unit? It seems brighter than my 150W LED. Love the nod to Mr. Lindbergh and his mighty music stand. :)
Thanks so much, yes it was bouncing back the light into Bec & it's 320w :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thanks for that info. Maybe mine would work in a more compact arrangement. I’m definitely gonna try. Thanks for thinking differently. :)
Peter, what's the light you used to produce the square lighting pattern? They look like tube lights with a flag, but the pattern is definitely different than what I was expecting.
A square mirror

Hey is a possible if you do a video photography uv light or flash portrait with a model

Trailer Park Portraits …
Man, maybe I don’t know anything about art, without any disrespect to persons, but this whole work overall feels very off what I would call cool, quality or even interesting. Why don’t you lit up the scene brighter and properly, why so little play/experimentaion with model’s pose? You could try hundreds of poses and find something which would luckily find out really great and show of her special buitiful features?
and that would be your style, you should do that
