@@chanelmason3219 oh it’s been a while.. I don’t remember exactly what I asked. But I mentioned steering issues like steering wheel wander, steering and vehicle pulling, offset steering position, and made sure to mention the service bulletin that references these issues. It’s been better ever since. And it got real good when I upgraded my suspension with a lift and steering stabilizer + bigger tires. Now drives smooth like a sportscar and better than ever!
Did the dealership send this out to you? We have same issues.
No I contacted them and they said let's try it
@@JustinKingOffroad thank you so much for your response. Enjoy the channel but am frustrated with my gladiator steering. Keep up the great work hopefully I’ll never need the rescue but thank God it’s there.
What's that unit sitting on your dashboard?
Ham radio control head.
@@JustinKingOffroad Nice, what model is that?
Kenwood D710! Awesome radio
@@JustinKingOffroad thanks man
On October 5th. 2020 I made an order for a 2021 2 door Rubicon, the car arrived to the dealer on 11/21/2020 I paid the money took my jeep , Unfortunately my 2021 Jeep has the same problem , took it back to the dealer with only 285 miles on it , 2 days at the dealer I picked it up today 12/02/2020 still the problem exists. I will take it back to the dealer tomorrow.
Interesting. Visually check the steering box. Is it solid black? Or does it have aluminum showing? Solid black is steel.
@@JustinKingOffroad I took it back to the dealer and I mentioned the solid black steering box, they will take a look.
Why are you driving in the left lane? Supposed to keep to the right except to pass.
eventually... i will pass someone hahaha!
Fixed all my issues. So happy!
Do you guys still have dead spot when cruising? I still dead spot after the new tab
nope it's all corrected on mine!
@@JustinKingOffroad like none at all? Cause I have play at Hwy speeds almost as of the electric power steering goes into sleep mode when I’m cruising straight. If turn wheel a little more than I feel it kick back in but by that I’m already a little over steered and have to correct again. If that makes sense.
@@theharshpatel yep makes sense, and no, no dead zone driving at all
That’s great bud, glad your not the ones that have it! I need this thing fixed cause it’s driving me crazy
Do u have stock steering stabilizer or after market?
do you know if the 2021 jeeps are coming with the new steering box
I had heard that they are
Mine is a 2021 Rubicon 2 doors , I have the same problem . Took it to the dealer after 2 days they called me to pickup my Jeep , still the problem exists.
@@maherbashawry7966 the problem still exist after the the new black steel steering box? did they reflash the software?
@@cm5113 The truth is I don’t know if the 2021 has the new steel steering box or not, And No the dealer did not reflash the software.
Great video thank you!
What tablet holder is that?
it's a pro clip mount. good stuff!
Does the issue still affect the 2021 models
Everything I've seen, no. They're shipping with upgraded steel steering box.
@@JustinKingOffroad Actually, I got my JL 2021 (2 doors) 3 weeks back in Dubai and having the same issue! Still fighting with dealer to fix it but without any luck and they are telling me this is the normal behavior of JL steering wheel and you need to live with it
@@essaxio well that sucks!! I'm sorry to hear that. mine is a pleasure to drive after this fix but it's an 18.
How much did this repair cost you?
Zero. My vehicle is still under warranty. However if you don't have a warranty you would have to pay for it.
So they didn't make you pay first and then reimburse you?
sucks they wont help at all on out of warranty vehicles knowing they were bad from the start...
Yeah that should be illegal.
no wind close to Laramie or Cheyenne LOL
Man, you are lucky. I've been fighting Toyota Australia to refund me for a total loss that occcured to our equivalent of teh Lexus LX470 - the inner guards cracked and it destroyed itself beyond economic repair. (It started underneath the airbox and a rubberised coating on the outside, so the damage couldn't have been seen unless you removed the whole airbox, which you just dont do.
I've been fighting TMCAfor the last 2.5 years and have attempted to get the Australia government agency to investigate them but suspect that there has actually been political interference to not investigate. I hope I'm wrong but cannot imagine any other reason, especially when toyota make a genuine spare part to bolster the panels (not repair, these are NOT replacement panels).
My vehicle has been assessed as a total loss, nearly bankrupting us to replace it.
man that's crazy!
@@JustinKingOffroad what's even more crazy is that people just accept what they're told by dealerships and dont want to do anything. Also the amount of abuse I've copped for trying to stand up for has been horrific. (I am confused and discouraged by the lack of other wanting to stand up. If not for them, for the next bloke. it absolutely astounds me. Instead they want to rip shreds off you for giving it a go.
One not so nice gentleman harrassed me for trying to devalue HIS vehicle. Well, champ, mine is f*cked. Soul destroying.)

New TSB 08 003 021
I was comparing parts required from TSB 08 003 021 new TSB number I guess. TSB (Jan 9, 2021) states Gear, steering 685 075 569 AA my invoice from the dealer is 685 075 569 AB. So I guess there is another updated TSB?
So back in the shop Monday. Track bar had to be ordered and software will be applied. Kind of concerned that I had to push the issue.
