i never dance in my life, like ever. i only clicked on this video because i was looking to study rhythms for use in my music. but moving to the exercises awakened something in me. i now wanna learn how to move my body, because for the first time ever, dancing clicked for me. thanks for this vid!
I'm Puerto Rican this is all alive and well in the island and the bomba music is indistinguishable from its African counterpart the African culture is still alive and well in the island goes to show how strong our cultures they took our language they took us away from the motherland but they couldn't take our music and this is also how slaves would communicate between one another and they would talk about rising up against their masters and traditionally a Rum Barrel drum is used to play Boombah
Are all African music Rhythms based off of Voodoo rhythms? Or are their clean non-voodoo and non-sexual/devilish African music rhythms? I'd like to know so I can listen to some clean music thanks! I was thinking of some traditional Ethiopian music after they Ethiopian eunic came back to Ethiopia .
