I ordered a digital card for my 19' 330i xdrive, but I don't have the option in my bmw connected drive app to activate my iPhone 12 as a key card.. If one will work shouldn't the other?
I just got my card key today from United but couldn’t get anyone from the parts department to figure it out. Sometimes it doesn’t work and sometimes it says something about not having permission. Who can look into it?

I can't set up the iPhone 11 as a digital key. I followed the official procedure but it does nothing.
note: I do not have an NFC card delivered with the car, not sure if that's a requirement.
My bmw dealership doesn't even know what I'm talking about, recommend I buy the "subscription"... so completely clueless. Help!

does the key expire. my digital key for my 2019 X5 worked for a year, now it does not. Do I need a new key or can I get the original one working again. thank you for a informative video.

Seems very unintuitive to limit it to 30 secs. Would love to see a video of how you unlock and start the car with an Apple Watch though.

Does 2021 X4 model have the nfc card activation option?
I think it does because my x4m40i does have NFC card
What if I forget the digital key card while exiting and also neither do I have my physical key with me nor my mobile and the car has locked me out? How do I get in ?
Nowadays, everyone has their phone with them at all times. Just use the connected drive app from App Store or play store to unlock.
Anyway the situation you described won’t ever happen because when you leave your car, you need to have your keycard to tap and lock the car up. If you forget the key card and just walk away, that means you have not locked your car.
You can also use one of your actual two keys as your backup at any time to trial the keycard, no way you’ll get locked out of your own bmw.

Alright idea. But to avoid all that 30 second mullarkey and placing card in wireless charging tray, just have one of the original keys in your pocket. Car unlocks and locks and starts without even a thought.
