Completely understandable. I personally don't do that, but I will admit that some of those tracks are just so superfluous. It's kind of ridiculous that half of the album is comprised of that crap.
'Testimony of the ancients' is one of the best albums ever, as far as I am concerned. Great riffs, good structures, interesting concepts. I personally wish they had worked longer in that direction, 'Spheres' is very interesting but sacrificing the emotional and epic sides on the altar of technicality. On a darker note, Patrick is dissing too much, in my opinion, as he did in some sleeve notes. That must be one of the factors that led to the band's breaking-up and the following changes in line-up.
That album didn’t make any sense only thing I thought when I first listen to Testimony Of The Ancients I was like WTF it went from a godly album like consuming impulse to some Typical BS
STFU if you don't get the album alright. It ain't just some typical death metal generic horror & gore, it is atmospheric & thought provoking, it ain't something like Consuming Impulse but it has the riffs & the music you'd want in death metal, I am glad they did that album anyways, onwards, not really much...
Kal-Gelo Trinidad Meh. Pat Mameli turned Pestilence into a shitty ATHEIST clone, he even stole their bass player right there in studio. CONSUMING IMPULSE. Everything before and after that is bullshit. ASPHYX!!!
@@chrismacdowell3381 Testimony and Spheres do not sound like any ATHEIST album, and how is MALLEUS MALEFICARUM a bad album? It is true he stole their bass player though lol.
@@atoma8921 Ha, oops. I was in a 'mood' when I typed that...It aint bad, I honestly prefer the Demos to Malleus. It's too bad, Pestilence, were a force to be reckoned with, but had to fuck it up by "going jazz"..
I miss those days....fucking 90s
Totally. And being a teenager-20 y.o. too.
My favorite Death Metal album Testimony of the Ancients
By far my favorite album by them (I can't get enough of "Twisted Truth")! Long Live the PESTILENCE!!
All of them incredible musicians!
Still listen to them... Saw them in the early years a lot of times in the Netherlands
You know
LOL
you know
XD
They literally said 55 times the word "you know"...
“You know” is said 59 times.
😂

Great upload, man
Thanks.
The term “ya know” has lost all meaning after watching this
Marc Lynch Gary Holt is a bigger offender believe it or not
ya know what I mean!
You know like you know because you know it's very you know be you know in this world of you know
I skip the sample tracks everytime

I don't. I think they create the right atmosphere and make you ready for the next track/ chapter/set of ideas.

Where are they from
India
The Netherlands has some of the most brutal Death Metal bands to existence. Pestilence, Gorefest, Smegma. To name a few.
Ya know they are from the Netherlands ya know Holland that is where the Dutch live ya know
@@godetonter4764 aahhh ok
Patrick is Dutch (maybe of Italian ancestry?) and Tony is Cuban.
Where's Martin? It ain't pestilence without him
Pestilence is Patrick Mameli...Martin is just a singer :)
@@jordanjordanov126 You couldn't have said it better.
