I agree with you.
I like listening to old music. It is much better then today.
A few examples of singers that I can give that I still listen to nowadays are Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Elton John, Bryan Adams, and Weird Al Yankovic.
As for composers John Williams, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri, Howard Shore, and James Newton Howard.

When I used to listen to when coming back from college and school I would often listen to Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Skillet, Three Days Grace and more to name.

Old Music is important.
It looks like The Mandalorian S3 soundtrack didn’t go well before GTA 6 released.
For me, the best type of music is music from the 2000s to early 2010s. I do hate most of the music from this era but unfortunately, I’m not the biggest fan of old music that much and also in this one show that I watch called Hazbin Hotel which I can’t recommend enough that show is basically a musical with lots of great songs in it, that I listen to most of the time.
For me this is subjective. I still think we get good music currently it just depends on how good or bad it sounds
I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to music. I listen to older music with much of it being from the 80s (also probably my favorite era) but also from eras such as the 70s and sometimes from the 60s, 90s, maybe early 2000s. While music taste is subjective, it can’t be denied that music hasn’t been the same in comparison from the old to the new. I can definitely agree when it comes originality because whenever I discover an old song that I like, it’s always sounds new and refreshing whereas I could care less about newer songs nowadays. Of course there are artists that I’ve listened to as a kid that I still believe are going strong, but for me, older music will always be timeless and ironically never grow old for me.
AGREED new music is stupid (there are only some good artists) i still listen to Gigi D'Agostino
I prefer rock genre music! Especially Christians like Skillet!
