13 trips over. So far. DO IT! The videos are like walking past a McDonalds and smelling the aroma. Riding the roads is like being in a Ruth's Chris steakhouse with a filet on your plate. I've been riding for about 56 years now and it is the most intense riding that I've ever done.
Michael Jordan can you please help me..just let me know route foe about 10 days on alps and i am indian so have to rent a bike so can u tell minimum estimated cost
Sorry for the late reply. Too much to go into here - books have been written on the subject. I'm on the ADVRider.com Forum as MichaelJ. Register on the site (if you aren't already) and PM me.
That looks like a great tour, everything I love about biking without heroics and pushing the limits . Was that alpine road the Grossglockner? I'm heading up there this year. It it guaranteed to be ice-free during the touring season?
Hi Justin. Grossglockner is one of the roads in the video. The best time for touring is mid June or September because of good weather and low traffic. I did not has any ice problems during this period. Enjoy
andy 20208 Not my video, but I've found it often wet high up in the Alps especially later in the day. Don't let it put you off though, it's spectacular.
The timestamps is wrong. This trip was at June. March is too cold and lot of passes are closed because the snow. The best period is june or september because the roads are not too busy and the weather is good. Good luck
wonderful :) unfortunately I deleted facebook years ago. But I was going to resubscribe, so this is the right time to do it ahahah With 08.17-10.18 do you mean from 17 August to 18 October?
Just watched kid on a Honda 125 doing a proper tour, with all his gear, good commentry. Now we have the BMW bullshitters......doing nothing except posing...yawn!
I am sorry, can't go past 40 seconds with the dismal music or whatever that aural dissonance is. Flying, car racing, and motorcycling are visual and aural participation sports. Take out the sound of your engines accelerating, going up and down through the gears and you've messed up half the experience. Here let me give you an example. Go find the clip of Steve McQueen in his green '67 Mustang racing through the streets of San Francisco, from the movie "Bullit" Only mute the sound and play some dismal dirge while watching the video. Now turn off the dismal dirge. Now turn on the video sound and listen to the glorius ENGINE and the tires squeeling and sliding on asphalt. OK now you know why you just got another thumbs down.
I'm satisfied to see real bikers, in a real road trip, with the real nature, riding safely. Please continue! V
Just seen this. Thanks for sharing I loved it. Prayers Flying from Michigan (United States)
Your choice of music makes wonders to the video! Very enjoyable!
I dream to make it there one day. Great video! Thank you for documenting this paradise.
