Another day into the making of the 'Vincent Price Devil', from the amazing Phantom Manor ride.
Did some work on the snakes. That took some time... 4 days actually.
Hope you enjoy this short vid. Once the sculpture is done, I will put all the short vids together into a very very long presentation. With extra and commentary!
Any suggestions on other character I should work on from the ride? Let me know.

Any tips on recording gear? I want to start recording my sculpts but most cell phones limit recording to about an hour, and I keep reading that DSLR cameras overheat if you record long. I sculpt really slow so I'd like to have something I can record 6-7 hours at a time. I've looked at something like the Zoom Q8n-4K but it doesn't have optical zoom which I assume is needed to get those nice close shots you have. Are those shots from over your shoulder/off to the side, or is the camera between you and the sculpt? Was this video shot in 1080 or 4k?

Hello! Thank you for your comment. I am afraid I am not an expert on that subject. I actually use my iphone. For the close ups I simply bring it super close to the sculpt which is not ideal for long periods of time. I have a couple of stands I use but for the most part the camera sits between me and the sculpt. So I would definitely suggest a camera with optical zoom to really capture the detail of what you are doing without compromising the image quality and most importantly to have it placed far from your working area. That is all the advice I can give you. Wish I could help you more with this. Also, apologies for the late reply, somehow I missed your comment.
