Narcan saved my friends life, I recommend everyone have this on hand just in case someone needs it or needs your help...... It saves lives for sure......
John Dough Hello, EMT here. Although it may not seem like it, the nasal route for narcan is very effective and more simple than injecting it. I would tell you to try and quit the drugs, but I’m sure you’ve heard that plenty of times already. If you absolutely need to use, make sure someone is with you, because if it’s a true overdose, you may not be able to give narcan to yourself. Try to get clean from the drugs, but most importantly, try to be safe.
I just got this type of narcan applicator yesterday and this is a great video to show my close family in case i ever slip up and od. Thank you for creating this informative video.
@@glioblastomecause if you push all of it at once, the sooner the pt will wake up pissed you took his high away, you should give just enough to make his breathing normal
As far as my EMS knowledge goes. No, you should not be taking Narcan/Naloxone orally. You can take it through skin, muscle, and nose. If it ever becomes needed, don't be afraid to call for an ambulance
@jannis joplin "Than? Does not understand. Big pharma stuff. The Actual brand, Narcan is a one step application in which you only apply once and into one nostril. The catch is, it’s $130 per dose, where as for 2 syringes 2ml of 2mg/2ml of Naloxone sets you back $30. It’s just the type of shit they do to dissuade you from purchasing the cheaper alternative, but if you’re not retarded and know how to read instructions, go for the cheaper option, it is exactly the same thing, but the application is different.
Yes it can be given intranasal, as long as you follow this video's instructions. They also have different versions of this that come preloaded in an intranasal device, no assembly required.
I I don't know I'm pretty unimpressed with videos at this company and this pharmacist have put out thus far she's left out so many important items that other people have brought up and I'm trying to save my son's freaking life. I recommend going and searching out another educational institution to grade her by don't quit your day job my friends my pharmacist friend you should not be doing these videos please retire you're not helping seriously people do your research this is so skeletal it's ridiculous
You "love" it ??? Your comment sounds like someone saying he loves x drug. Naloxone does nothing if you are not overdosing, your comment doesnt make any sense.
Are you stupid ? This doesnt enable anything, this reverse overdose caused by other opioids, it has no pharmacological effect on someone who isnt overdosing, how could this "enable addiction". Learn before you go and comment some bullshit
if you have difficulty remembering how to use a product like this in an emergency situation, you're unfit to be a medical professional. do the world a favor and find a different job. you're probably more fit to be stocking shelves, or emptying trash cans

You’re awesome Travis hope ur still sober

Hats off to medical professionals
For the love of God don't slam it! Unless you want to catch the fists of whoever you're using it on.
Only slam it when you bring a pt in the er and the nurses are being assholes 😊. Slam it and bounce 😂
What do you mean dont "slam it" ?

Are you supposed to be on your back for this too???
What if you don’t have a needle or a nasal adapter? Can you do sublingual?

Why doesnt it come preassembled?

The box says IV/IM/SQ… is this still safe to give nasally?
Yes it can be given intranasal, as long as you follow this video's instructions. They also have different versions of this that come preloaded in an intranasal device, no assembly required.
The reason it says IV/IM/subq is because those are other routes of administration that (usually) healthcare providers can give this med.

Bud everyone has to start somewhere
I think it's more to become better acquainted with something you're not using very often but still need proficency in.
