I love my WKND deck and will for sure get another. If you like these full shapes look into getting a Roger Skate Co. Deck. They make a tugboat shape that is nice and full with a mellow tail. I've had 2 of them so far and loved them. Great videos.
Currently skating the Karstan Kleppan “icy hot” wknd board love it so far! Thanks for making a review so I know what to expect later down the road your videos always are informative. You should definitely try out a flip board been kind of curious myself of what they offer in their boards nowadays you don’t really hear to much about them here in the states.
Only skated a single Toy Machine 8.25”/14.5” wb, quite flat, quite long (I think it was 32.25”). I tried Thunders Hollow Lights on it but it wasn’t until I put standard Indies on it that I enjoyed it. It needed some height to the truck I think because of the relative flatness. I guess I could have tried with some 1/8” raisers on the Thunders though and retained some of that lightness.
@@Damoforce Yeah it felt pretty off in the beginning. Clunky. I skated it with 56mm Conical Fulls too. That seemed to compensate for the mellowness/flatness of the deck to some degree. Was quite a heavy setup still though. But I’d get another for sure and experiment a little with it. Maybe put some Forged or Standard Hollows on there with a 52-54mm wheel. Or maybe even some Ace AF1 Hollows whenever I get a set of those.
Try the Krooked Manderson deck (Ben Degros fav, Adriano skating one now it seems).Or the olive eagle 8.38 (so called dreamer deck) it has a bigger wb 14,5 but skates smaller.
Personally for me, it depends how you skate. I feel like on a 14" WB Indy's hit too soon. Thunders work well, and venture do if you have a stronger leg / pop. That'll get the highest in theory but that's the mose effort.
@@Damoforce well I’m a pretty short guy, 5ft7 and like a 29-30” leg. My current chocolate deck is 14.5 wb and feels so long, my kickflips are all below the truck it feels. From what you’re saying, thunders will go well with the 14” and my short ass stump legs 😂

Thanks, they sound nice as. I don't think I've ever heard or seen them down here.
Thanks for the review! How does this compare to the BBS decks you have skated? Durability and feel/flex.
Not too much flex, quite durable overall. One of the better one, I also like the different more mellow shape from other BBS
Thank you, I am going to try a BBS@@Damoforce

Thanks for watching the videos ☺️ Appreciate it. I think I'll take the easy option and set up that flip 💥

8.25 - 14.5 seems really odd, no? With that WB, I guess it makes sense that the Indys would work.

I love toy machine! Kind of a fuller nose and the dashawn decks and some others are shorter which I like very much! Best decks I skated!
I hated my first Toy Machine at first but ended up really liking it towards the end. I absolutely love the whole Toy Machine aesthetic too.
Thanks for the tips! I do enjoy that fuller nose for sure! They are steeper than the tail, like noticeable?
@@Damoforce Nah! I only skate mellow concaves, but the nose is just a little bit steeper on that bpard shape. Barely noticeable.

I tried an Anti Hero just before this, it was nice. I am scared of the bigger WB's not going to lie haha
What trucks would you recommend for a mellow deck like this? I’ve got my eyes on a WKND 8.25 x 31.5 14” WB

Yeah, I reckon you'll love it after you get used to it!!
Do they still make Think boards they where good back in the day
I don't think so 🤣 🤔 ah. I kinda wish I could get world industries in Aus
I've seen a few world industries boards in Brisbane
Got to hunt one down for kicks
Sounds like a hardy deck. Must be those nanotubes.
Hahah, love it!
I'm pretty lame, I buy decks because of their graphics 😆😎🛹 I don't take anything else into consideration.
I wish I was as simple as that haha. I tend to buy those decks to "collect" lol
