Thrift School over here! I missed that opening in the last video. My wife now texts when I'm out junking; running late "Are you out Thrift Schooling again?" Great channel and content, keep up the good work.
@@ThriftSchool What? You even skip a Ralph Polo one? Those are 100,- Euro's new. Man... who do you name yourself ThriftSchool if you don't know anything?
i’m curious how you are getting the tape and stickers off of these items? for example the haunted mansion board game was covered in tape. are u taking that off to make sure all the pieces are there are do you specify in the description that is had not been gone through?
One question I’ve always wondered about FBA sellers… how long does an item usually take to sell? I understand sell through rate and all of that, but I’m strictly an eBay seller and I’ve been wanting to get into selling on Amazon as well. Because I have plenty of stuff that may seem to do better on there instead of eBay.
I live In Waterbury and used to go to red white and blue thrift store all the time but recently new management took over and the prices are ridiculous now. They got way too greedy for a supposedly thrift store. I still go once in a while but rarely find anything any more to make a profit on with there crazy prices.
Prices at all GW's are crazy now. It is such a scam that a company that gets FREE inventory just jacks up the prices and the president of the company makes MILLIONS!
I come across good used games often but am always but am curious what to do about the packing tape they wrap them with. Do you leave it on or take it off? Im afraid of pulling the box apart or leaving residue.
I recommend using a hair dryer while peeling the tape off, it makes it less sticky and less likely to peel the art off the boxes, I also use either a razor blade scraper or scotty peeler to peel off the tape rather than just rip it off if
U can't believe those were there I can't believe I just found a DGI spark drone in goodwill for 12 bucks brand new today those things easily go for 250 new.If your consistent you will always find stuff just be patient 💪
Just wondering, how many times have you bought a used game only to find out that pieces were missing? That has usually been my luck, especially with puzzles. Good luck.
He puts them in the cart, goes to the corner of the store out of the way if they’re not closing soon and checks them all but he’s bought them a lot missing pieces when they’re about to close. But he can sell the pieces on eBay to make his money back or more.
Ive answered this a few times. On average if I buy 10 games, 2-3 will be missing pieces. I can usually get a replacement piece on ebay if the game is worth a good amount. If its only worth $10 or so, I will either part out the bigger pieces and still double my money or throw it out if the pieces aren't worth anything. Luckily, most games I buy are $1-3 and if I have to throw out 3 games im only losing $3-9 max.
Most Cashmere I find is filled with holes. I had a beautiful piece I bought for myself and never got to wear it. One day I was going to wear it out and... HOLES... everywhere. I threw it out :(
@@ThriftSchool I will buy cashmere with holes if it is really cheap. I show them in the thrift store, they want to just throw it out, so I can get for $1 or less. Sell by the pound as cashmere cutters, there is a strong market out there. People making cashmere scarfs, gloves, hats or whatever use the cashmere fabric. I have also sold to textile artists.
@@criticalmassiveenterprise Fees would be about USD $7, and buy cost probably $2.99 plus 6.35% tax rate if this was sold on Amazon. Either way, if it was sold on eBay for $20, then it'd be a $6 profit from a $2.99 buy cost. Even the common ones would still be a good profit😃
I’m trying to get into selling as merchant fulfilled. I’ve had my account for a while but just haven’t really done much with it. How do you get approved for selling toys? ?
I personally dont. I have to drive 30 mins to get to this thrift store. But even then its not a huge city. I just looked it up, it is the 5th most populated city in CT with just over 100k people. Most big cities in the U.S have over 2 Million people. I think its just because more people in Connecticut have excess amounts of disposable income so more things get donated... maybe? Im just spitballin lol
Great finds. Please share what state you are in. I am asking because our Red, White and Blue prices in Florida are 3xm time what you are paying. I am blowed away how cheap the RWB is
I have a Red, White, and Blue thrift store near me but it’s annoying there. There are the same resellers that are there all day every day. The literally sit down by the doors where the restockers come out with a cart to restock shelves. Then they all flock to the cart as the employees are pushing the cart out of the door. I’m not like that so I rarely go there anymore.
It changed all the time. I Would randomly get gated and ungated in brands all the time. It has more or less stablized, but I was grandfathered in on a lot of brands
I don't sell on amazon so I just don't see the profit here but hey its working for him so good on ya. I enjoy watching the videos but as an ebay seller a lot of this doesnt really apply. However I have learned a few bolos from watching.
Yeah on amazon you can get a bit more because shipping is so cheap for FBA. A dvd that costs $4 to ship on ebay is maybe 25 cents on Amazon. I try to include ebay bolos as I go, but Ive been finding less and less to sell on ebay over the years.
How are you factoring in the shipping? I do a little FBM but I am not sure why I only get a certain amount for shipping and it always eats in to my profit? Any help would be appreciated
How do you get approval to sell all those board games? I literally get requires approval on every item i try to sell, and most require an invoice, ive only found 2 things where i was approved without an invoice, and i cant even request approval in the toy category
He's probably been doing it for a coon's age, and now (because of UA-camrs) everybody and their aunt Tilly is signed up. They don't really need to approve many discarded item resellers these days.
