@roadsofjapan6009 Nobody forgot that. It's cheaper to send stuff in bulk and a company will get better shipping rates than a random importer/exporter. yet it still comes out to be way cheaper to buy and ship each individual item to your door. Also are we forgetting these are used parts? I can get brand new same or better spec wheels for less shipped to my door. I shouldn't be able to buy/ship as individual, then sell the same item and still come out thousands cheaper than them.

The reason that upgarage doesn’t work in the U.S. is because people are forgetting that the parts japan has at upgarage is like us having ford, chevy, chrysler etc parts here. Plentiful which causes them to be at a lower cost.
The only way for it to work is if they heavily sell more DOMESTIC parts rather than import parts. Otherwise the math just doesn’t math for us here in the U.S. plus the hype tax doesn’t help either.

I do understand the logistics side of things that its costly to send a ton of parts to the US, However if they keep prices super high in hopes ppl will fall for the Hype it will not last more than a year... i think it can work IF they carry alot of Usdm parts for cheap as well, its cheap in Japan cause its local, just like ford, chevy, dodge is local and more accessible to americans... so if they can do that it will work of course with reasonable pricing. California was not a good place to set up shop, the rent for the bldg there, employees rates per hr there as well as expensive utilities might be the price gouging issue... they should set up shop in another populated city/state that was much cheaper...
