@@LT-catch-these-hands Ah, so at least 2 others noticed as well. Why Mark ignored the obviously better melee weapon, I don't think anyone will ever know...
The hitting sound is actually him hitting a tree with a stick or branch. The “real life” stories around Bigfoot say he hits trees like that. Honestly no clue who or what sets the traps.
If you play 4v1 online; you can play as Bigfoot and set the exact same traps. So the traps are set up by Bigfoot. It's likely intended as a balance design. Since Humans can set Bear Traps, so Bigfoot can set Tree traps.
That’s what I do in video games mostly, I play seriously and try most of the time when I’m alone but when I’m with friends I kind a like messing around, especially messing with them😝😝
15:30 I totally agree what Mark said! Darkwood is such a masterpiece and I'm really hoping for a sequel but there's good news, Acid Wizard, the developers were hiring employees for their next game so their actually developing something new now, not sure if it's Darkwood 2 but their definitely working on something maybe as good as darkwood.
I think with the AI being updated, you’re meant to be able to be out at night and try to be stealthy. With closing the windows and being able to hide, also things like clocks that can go off to attract him, there’s a theme of having to get his attention now. Which is actually really cool! I hope Mark plays this again just because I love this game and rewatch the series. Also, I think it would be fun and scary to team up with maybe Wade and/or Bob to see if they can try hard and move during the night scavenging, and being quiet.

As someone who lives in Colorado near the mountains and sees my fair share of moose, Mark being confused and freaked out by the moose is fantastic. Cause yes, they can definitely kill you, and somehow, they can indeed hide. 😂
I'd like to see them go to the Himalayas and go after the yeti. Yeah, I know there's a snowy forest... but no. I mean mountainous, rocky, snow-covered peaks. I want mountain(s). That also has a cave system underneath it. Can be one big one, or small sets strewn throughout. Id also like to see it head to the southeast US in the swamps and hunting the Skunk Ape. Or maybe the Loup Garou? not sure.. Not only that, but you also gotta deal with the gators there too. Maybe throw in some.. dark magic stuff too. lil extra creepy~ And maybe can also go to Southeast Asia and go after the one there in the jungle (I forget the name of it.. rock apes i think?). Or maybe can do Africa in the congo. (idk if there's one there, but itd be cool environment!) And the outback in Australia, going after the yowie. I just like this is all. Don't wanna see it become just a one shot game and then done. you know? but just needs lil more variety is all. And not just that but it feels like.... its missing something. I'm not sure what though..
My only issue with this entire suggestion is the reference to the Loup Garou. Admittedly I don't know if there's other folklore I'm not familiar with but traditionally a Loup Garou is more often associated with werewolves than with ape-monsters
We've been saying the same thing about hoping for a marsh map and the Skunk Ape! I feel like he gets less love than the other "bigfoot" type cryptids of local lore.

3:55 some people who say they encountered bigfoot like creatures have reported beating a stick against a tree, likely as a territorial threat to scare intruders.
I've really enjoyed watching you play this and it was actually your last run that finally pushed me to buying the game. Absolutely terrified playing by myself but I did manage to defeat Bigfoot on my first run, so here's a few tips. When Bigfoot roars, he gets a general idea of where you're at. All of the "bombs" when set off hurt Bigfoot, but they also stun and then scare Bigfoot off for a period of time. Setting off the fireworks is like the other audio effects in that it gives Bigfoot an idea of where you are and you can lure him around by audio. However, you can shoot the fireworks and set them off like a bomb that knocks Bigfoot over and scares him away. You can actually spend some nights hiding from Bigfoot if you feel like you can't fight him. I actually hid in one of the cabins for 3 nights in a row before Bigfoot finally found me. Bigfoot can destroy ziplines. Bigfoot has an energy meter that dictates how often he can attack or use an ability. Everything he does consumes energy and him running off most cases is him going to find food. Do not melee Bigfoot with the hand flare. Just crack it and set it down, Bigfoot will back away from it when placed, otherwise he'll still approach you. If you set a trap indoors and Bigfoot hits the door or window, the trap will disarm.

And I add flashing light warnings and phobia warnings where I deem necessary
I love night vision Mark. It reminds me of the older days when he got into the scary games more. Most of his games now are in his pretty well lit room so he doesn't really sucked into the games as much so he's not usually as jumpy.
6:07 Fun fact about moose, they regularly dive into water to feed on aquatic vegetation, which is why some animals such as orcas can often hunt them. You're never safe from the "moosen" :)
The “knocks” you hear aren’t traps being set by Bigfoot, it’s apparently part of how bigfoots communicate, atleast that’s what the show finding Bigfoot claims lol knocks & screams signify Bigfoot is nearby, both of which are in this game.
For reference; a bison is muuuuch more dangerous than a moose. A moose cow with a calf can be pretty aggressive, if only to protect her child, but most moose (meese?) are afraid of humans, mostly because those who weren't and charged ended up on the wrong side of a hunting rifle. Bison on the other hand will absolutely wreck your day if you so much as look at them wrong. They are everything nasty that a common bull has and none of the gentleness of their domesticated counterparts. Make no mistake though. I moose absolutely is dangerous if it charges you, but if I had the choice between a moose and a bison, I'd pick the moose any day.
At least with a moose it has stilts for legs that you could probably take them down with if they charge (if they fall on top of you or your car it’s another matter) but with bison, they’re pure tank. Not to mention that because they are shorter, it’s much easier for them to gore you in the face or vital areas. I think it’s a lesson for us humans to mind our business and leave them to it.
@@ghoultoothif you do that then the moose will fall on you and kill you. If you crash your car into a moose then it will crush your windshield and it is very likely that you will die.
If a moose is charging towards you then you should curl up into a ball to protect your vitals even though you will turn into a soccer ball for the moose
Honestly mark got lucky with the second night, bigfoot typically shows up for me without fail. One thing can start doing is turning out all the light and closing the shades of houses. Bigfoot usually can't find you hiding in there so long as you stay quiet, and cant be seen through windows.
Yellowstone Side Note: As is tradition, the true Summer Opening happens when an Individual is Sacrificed to the Bison IRL Side Note: If you're in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington State, Alaska, or any other State/Territory that has Bison/Buffalo DO NOT PET THEM. THEY ARE WILD ANIMALS AND WITH POOR EYE SIGHT, ONLY SEE'S YOU AS A BLURRY THREAT. STOP TOUCHING THEM.
Fun fact, this rule is also true for rhinos. They're not particularly aggressive, they're just so goddamn blind that it's safer for them to assume something is a threat if they don't recognize it.
People in Ohio with buffalo farm: You clearly don’t know the power I have over these creatures. (Legit tho where I live up here we have full ass farm for buffalo and buffalo meat tho normally they are hidden away from anywhere people can see, probably for the reason you just said)
Just in case anybody is rewatching this and is curious about bigfoots new A.I and doesn’t want to look it up: Bigfoot no longer immediately knows the players location, so he will go after sounds and places the A.I would expect people to be, like camps and huts. Bigfoots hunting mechanics were reworked so he doesn’t just rush players the moment he gets the chance, instead he will now stalk the player and wait. This really messes with a players brain keeping them on edge and unless they are experienced or really level headed, this will bait the player into making the first move just like mark did Before the update Bigfoot would prioritize one player and stick to them, now he will attack everybody with equal damage. Making traps harder to pull off with baiting Bigfoot with a single player I know I’m super late but I saw that nobody else wrote the changes 💀

Bigfoot sets the traps in the game, which idk if the stories say he does too

I think with the AI being updated, you’re meant to be able to be out at night and try to be stealthy. With closing the windows and being able to hide, also things like clocks that can go off to attract him, there’s a theme of having to get his attention now. Which is actually really cool! I hope Mark plays this again just because I love this game and rewatch the series. Also, I think it would be fun and scary to team up with maybe Wade and/or Bob to see if they can try hard and move during the night scavenging, and being quiet.

3:55 some people who say they encountered bigfoot like creatures have reported beating a stick against a tree, likely as a territorial threat to scare intruders.
It's also a form of long range communication.
Man, bigfoot may look goofy, always does, just the way he is, but they absolutely killed it on sound design, those sounds are chilling as hell
18:09 love how mark passes a Pickaxe then half a minute later he finds a baseball bat and says "hey I finally found a melee weapon"

I know bison farmers and they say they can be really sweet if they know you but if you’re a stranger you best PRAY they don’t think you’re scary.
Did you know that if a moose pees while looking at you that means it is angry at you. Bison can jump 6 feet horizontally and 7 vertically.
Yellowstone Side Note:
As is tradition, the true Summer Opening happens when an Individual is Sacrificed to the Bison
IRL Side Note:
If you're in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington State, Alaska, or any other State/Territory that has Bison/Buffalo DO NOT PET THEM.

I love how these people go hunting for a known deadly beast and bring an amazingly tiny amount of supplies to begin with
Just in case anybody is rewatching this and is curious about bigfoots new A.I and doesn’t want to look it up:
Bigfoot no longer immediately knows the players location, so he will go after sounds and places the A.I would expect people to be, like camps and huts.
Bigfoots hunting mechanics were reworked so he doesn’t just rush players the moment he gets the chance, instead he will now stalk the player and wait. This really messes with a players brain keeping them on edge and unless they are experienced or really level headed, this will bait the player into making the first move just like mark did
Before the update Bigfoot would prioritize one player and stick to them, now he will attack everybody with equal damage. Making traps harder to pull off with baiting Bigfoot with a single player
I know I’m super late but I saw that nobody else wrote the changes 💀
