Good concept and good playing but the guy on the right's guitar was too loud. Also, when the other person plays the melody or a solo, the rhythm player should back off his volume &/or play softer. That's Band 101. It not only lets the melody and solos shine, it also creates dynamics which projects emotion and helps keep the listener's interest. Plus, it shows musical maturity and lack of ego. In this case however, both guitarist pretty much played at one consistant volume level. Which is why the performance is lacking some emotion and few of the melodies pop or stand out. The good news is that knowing is half the battle. Just start incorporating more dynamics and let the lead instrument take more of the spotlight. Cheers!
