- This film was originally made in 1990 as a student project by director Janine Kavanagh who was a Notts County fan and a student at The Polytechnic of Central London. Much of the filming took place on away trip to Wigan on 28 April 1990 - the match ended up as a 1-1 draw.
The film was rediscovered by LeftLion in 2023 when we were working on a project to celebrate Nottingham's two original football fanzines. We were given a VHS copy by Jim Cooke (of The Pie and Selectadisc), which was posted through our letterbox in a Selectadisc carrier bag.
We loved the film and had it converted to digital by Bingham Digital (who we'd highly recommend - visit binghamdigital.co.uk for any VHS conversion needs). Janine has given us her permission to share it with you again after all this time.
