This will be my last Mario 64 Soundfont video for a while. It was a fun niche thing for years, but it's been blowing up BIG for the last couple months and is only starting to finally starting to show signs of tapering off. Once this goes back to being a totally niche thing, maybe I'll start doing them more, but as it is the "market" is saturated as shit. I had to do a cover of this because all the ones that currently exist on YT of Sanitarium are hot garbage, super lazy MIDIslaps with wrong notes out to here, like most Mario 64 soundfont remixes sadly. I know mine aren't perfect, but big props to all the other MIDI soundfont-remixer-types out there who are actually putting effort into remixing and remastering the MIDI before plopping it on UA-cam, rather than being lazy. You know who you are (and I've probably commented on your stuff!) Anyway, enjoy it. I made a long-ass, DOOM-centric video for my 15k subscriber special and deleted the whole project and everything (by accident of course) like a complete and utter moron. As a long time Metallica fan myself i love listening to Welcome Home (Sanitarium). For some reason the song is so good but so depression at the same time. Hearing midis and now this makes me love it even more, in fact i might have to use the midi in one of my doom maps at some point since it's a really good song. Anyways i wanted to nerd out a bit on that.
You should do a video on how some new mods that use double jumping have broken everyone's maps from the past. When I discovered Project Brutality shortly after I started working on my 32 level megawad, I had to go back to some of my maps, and go through the pain of re-designing at least the first 15 of them because of it
I wouldn't redesign them for that, the people hosting those Project Brutality servers really should have the settings right! It's a shame you had to spend time doing that.
Hey Doomkid I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but I figured since you like Weird Al so much why don't you make a video ranking all of his studio albums on a tier list? It might be a fun little divergent between your other projects and could be a fun one off thing.
I love the concept, but trying to pitch bend steel drums is just... Cognitive dissonance. A vibraphone would be able to bend and sustain but I'm trying to remember if sm64 used one...

I love this song too, I actually did use it in one of my Doom wads a while ago, along with Orion, cause that's another one of my favorites.
