That scene where Ishan Ram's painting is just too powerful! Ram never saw Ishan laughing and he just imagined how he'd look like if he did and he painted it..... so emotional so subtle so sweet and soooo POWERFUL!! 🤧🤧🤧🤧💜💜💜💜
Yes that’s the beauty of that picture
Yeah, this movie has multiple scenes with deep meaning, which fly over our head in the first watch.
That sounds good, but thats not true. we already see that they both laugh together.
@@vikaskyatannawar8417 No that boy never laugh like that picture till the end😁
@@TheBlue_EyedHonouredOne ram never saw him Mischievous & Laughing Like Before.
4:17 This moment, and the conversation before this moment, was a great character growth for Ishaan's father, as he finally realized and grew out of his narrow mindset of children's mindsets. People might say, "Why didn't the father hug Ishaan/meet up with him, and just walk away?" That is because he was too ashamed of himself to face his own son. He thought his son was incorrigible and could only be fixed with force, but Ram showed him that a caring teaching method would work wonders.
All in all, a great scene was written into the script and executed in a great manner by Vipin Sharma.
Yesss!! It's amazingly done! After "Maa", that's the scene that broke me.
Its sad that sometimes no amount of effort is enough for some parents to grow out of their mindsets.
Only a stone hearted Indian ....can't cry in the Climax. Such a Master Piece!!
I don't cry in any movie scene, no matter how emotional it is, ig i am stone hearted
@@harshit6045 I can't cry in real life but good movies like this make me cry like hell, I feel really good after that😌
I dint cry
And I wouldn't
@@harshit6045 watch graves of the fireflies
@@harshit6045 you should watch bajrangi bhaijan. I bet you will cry in climax scene.
One of the reasons Indian movies are a bit longer is because, as you said, these movies are often a slow burn. Also the modern Indian movie industry retains much closer roots to Indian theatre than modern Hollywood has to Western theatre, where plays are often 3 hours or longer, and often require and encourage audience feedback. The whole point of this slow burn IS to make you uncomfortable and take you out of your comfort zone. It's specifically meant to put you in Ishaan's shoes and feel his pain on a very visceral level. This movie hits on a lot of different themes that were expanded upon in more mature ways in 3 Idiots, which focuses on the college rat race. Toxic masculinity, systemic problems with special needs education, neurodiversity...there's SO much to unpack in this movie.
Plays are not 3 hours, btw
@@dOVERanalyst what plays have you seen? All the major classics are easily that long.
@@spdcrzy Indian plays in Mumbai.. if they are short, there's no interval. If it's an hour of play, there's a short 10 min break.
@@dOVERanalyst I'm talking about classical Sanskrit theatre, not modern plays.
@@spdcrzy many drama were almost half aday long inn the old times.
Thats why the best actors of yesteryears were ex theatre artists .
Not just classical but quirky stories ,funny stories and more.
The thing was PPL had the patience to watch as there was no alternative and not many were as busy as they are now
The last scene of Ishan running up to Nikunmbh and him picking Ishaan up and pushing him as high in the air as possible has a meaning to it which states what a teacher-student relationship should be like. A teacher should be able to catapult a student as high as possible in terms of development and success through proper guidance, love, and care.
This movie was out when i was almost ishaan's age, till date i dont realize how this young boy acted so well. He still makes me cry like crazy.😭
Darsheel safari really aced it🤲😩
R8
I love that Ram arranged this art competition knowing that Ishaan will likely win. Ishaan had always seen others, especially his brother, excel and win at everything (we saw he was always first in class and went to the tennis finals). Ishaan never got recognition and this was a way for him to get that. I believe when he woke up before everyone else and didn’t show up until later, he was likely nervous as he has stopped painting because of everything he was going through. He also seems to have social anxiety at this time, and there would be a lot of people there.
I've never seen the actor Playing Ishaan ever since this movie. But he will always have a special place in my heart for this role. 💛
You can watch Bumm Bumm Bole movie. Darshil acted in this movie too
He recently made his debut in Gujarati movie called Kutch Express. Its a beautiful movie.
He was in a one or two filter copy videos recently.
Zokomon is another one
In Bum bum bole ,he did exceptional!
Andrew has become my new favourite for movie reactions…. He’s getting what the makers actually wanna say …
Everyone says about Darshil'r acting in this movie. But Tanay (Rajan) did something great in this movie. 11:53 see.. he is his best friend.. everybody stands up while applause but he couldn't stand.. still he showed his emotions for his best friend! Aaah.. my eyes get tears everytime.
Yeah his performance was👌
He is a fab actor he also child version of srk character in my name is khan also
@@prashantgurung2635 yeah... he was also in Slumdog Millionaire
He is brilliant 😊
This movie man. This f'n movie.
Edit: Andrew's review/discussion about the movie at the end was one of the best reflections of a story on this channel.
5:04 The caricatures still crack me up to this day and especially when the Hindi Teacher changes the position and adds fuzz to his beauty mark 😂
The first half of the movie is so slow because people were actually unaware about these conditions at the time of release of the story so he wanted people to understand their struggle
I remembered in my college days, Tare zameen par and Welcome released on same day. During the weekend, a group of us decided to go see a movie. I was the only one in the group who wanted to watch TZP. So after lots of convincing and discussion, we finally took the plunge and went for..
Welcome😑
Bruhhh 😂😂
That hug ishan gave to his teacher when he received the first price. I cried again. First time when I cried I saw the movie.
I love how steph is so expressive! She has the best movie reactions!
Haha reactions like hmmmm ummm haha they both are worst
@@Gaurav76831
No, you can see here feelings trough her face. Maybe in this movie it wasn’t so visible but in her other reactions (like My Name Is Khan) she is really expressive.
Or Pezarker, agree....
I still remember, we were taken as a whole from our school when I was in my 4th grade to watch this movie in theatre's...
Even being a child I cried to the end of the movie... Being a student who excelled in drawing and painting competitions back those days, I could easily relate myself to it's content...
More than half of Indian kids are raised under study pressure by parents from very young age. They didn't get a chance to develop their skills. But now situations are much better.
I love how both of them was so into movie, I can see Andrew and step holding tears also the movie is so emotional and beautiful and the review/discussion about the movie was so good love there reaction 🤧🤧👍👍
such a lovely movie, I watched this in the theater and at that time i was in 8th standard and didn't get much... as I used to like fantasy superhero, army, action movies...
But now this is my most fav one
This movie deserves oscar 🎥🏆❤
Oscar deserve this movie, it's a masterpiece.
Steph and Andrew HAVE to watch 3 idiots next. Would LOVEEEEE to see their reaction
Why am I crying?? 😭I have watched this movie like a gazillion times!
Watching it like a 50th time and shedding tons of tears. It's such a beautiful movie.
Its the dad’s tears for me! Watching fathers cry always makes me cry 😢
His painting of Ishan makes me cry every freaking time😭😭😭😭😭😭
What a powerful movie! Aamir Khan is the best ever❤️
when the pain is rubbed in for long enough , the catharsis is part is better felt and appreciated. i feel understanding it cerebrally is one way but feeling it in your gut is a greater experience.
I remember watching this movie in 7th class when this movie was released and was crying at the end!
As someone who has Dyscalculia (dyslexia of mathematics), I feel seen through this movie
1 of the Best & Masterpiece Movie all Time ✊💥
My school had organised mass screenings of this movie in army theatre for all the classes to watch it over the course of few days and that was really appreciable.
guys you two should check 3 idiots next . I know its already been reacted to , but you two should definitely check once !
It's not possible for me to not cry in this movie.. It's not
This Also Shows when parents are hard sometime we just take it wrong as they are punishing, God knows what their intention is but sometimes it spills into something Beautiful✨
You guys have such a genuine reaction. Loved it love you guysss
12:15 during this hug scene I cried so hard thinking about my favourite person, my teacher, my guru, my everything
If u want to know about one such genius... Watch a UA-cam video on Edmund Thomas Clint.... He was one such Indian who needs recognition... although he is no more ..but a genius is genius and will remain one
Almost every single school officials arranged a special screening of this film for their students... even i watched it from my school... I was in 6th stand when i saw the film... we all cried!!
Absolutely legend of a movie . Childhood golden Era. Loved the reaction too
If you want more meaningful children movies i highly recommend any Amol Gupte movies..he wrote this movie and he was actually directed some part of this movie until he left because of creative differences and Aamir Khan took over...i would highly recommend "Stanley ka Dabba" and "Chillar Party" and even "Hawa Hawai"...also Vishal Bhardwaj's "Makdee" and "The Blue Umbrella" are also very good kid coming of age movies
The scene where Ishan father's watches him read the board is Tear jerking and the most strongest scene of Indian Cinema... Just like how the train scene of Swades hits.... Proud of Indian cinema ❤️
This is the only movie which makes me cry every time I watch it.🤍
It was awesome movie when it came i was in school , it doesn't affected me then because I couldn't relate to it all, but now seeing from it an adult perspective it seems amazing it would definitely help new age parents to connect with their kids problem if they are different.
The slow start was worth it it showed how desperately ishaan needed someone to remind him again just how special he is.
One of the best movies I've ever watched ❤❤
We need more reactions from these two💜💜💜
This teacher guy, I really connected with his reactions… love from India ❤
Just realised the last scene is so similar to bajrangi bhaijaan .
Guys your reaction was very Great & Beautiful !!!!
Loved your reaction!!!👌🏻👌🏻🥰🥳🥳🥰🥰
Make more reactions on all Indian movies 👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻❤️❤️❤️
I wonder how both of you controlled your tears. I am watching this like nth time and sobbing throughout the movie..
This movie and Bajrangi Bhaijaan have similar ending shot.
And both kids owned the movie.
I always cry watching this movie. This movie unlocks so many childhood traumas and fears. As indians, we're very close to our parents since childhood and a lot of indian parents use this tactic to scare their children to be disciplined or they would send them away to boarding school. So yeah, a very emotional movie from the children born specially in late 90s or early 00s.
I don't know how many times I have watched the ending of this movie and whenever I watch, I always cry. This movie of Aamir Khan is my most favourite.
Next secret superstar
This and 3 idiot is the movie for which Amir khan will always be remembered.
I also loves painting but my marks were poor in primary so I stop making paintings, in high school I was the 3rd topper and my teacher praised my engineering drawing while perusing mechanical engineering, sometimes I still makes paintings. Everyone is different just keep patience. Believe.
kalki koechlin was a really good painter as a kid
Jaby's audience: How many reactors on this channel ? Jaby : another one 🤣
Noone is complaining. They are all great 😀
This movie was lesson in Hindi text books of Andhra Pradesh schools.....🤣🤣🤣
I highly recomment you watch ''SECRET SUPERSTAR'' next. Its an amazing movie.
I hope to see 3 idiots with these 2 reactors next
They are going to love that movie too
Some actors in this movie was underrated ..... # Love your reactions .....
Ah...its not just a movie it's a pool of emotions and nostalgia this movie defines our childhood , the memories of our parents, teachers brothers. This movie reflects our childhood like nothing in India!! . I had to comment to this one🥺, it's hard to believe that someone can finish this movie without a teary eye🥺
Everyone is brilliant teachers parents brother Amir ishaan but Tisca always steals my heart
Saw this movie when I was a kid and missed out on a lot of things which I understood better after rewatching. Its a timeless classic & very close to my heart
This is the film whenever i watch i cry 😢🥺❤
One of the fav of mine
this film makes me cry every single time i watch it
Thts the main reason indian student crack every exam we love our guru ❤❤❤❤ who teach me how to repect our elders
Why am I, a grown up man, crying ? 😢
This is kne of my favorite movie. I am 38 now and have 8 years old sone completely normal. Always promiise and isntruct myself neverr to behave or pur pressure on my son which i hare about my my older generation
I cried so much after watching this movie. I never watched it again. Now again I m crying
This movie was worth Oscar's
I'm conditioned to cry when I see Aamir's painting of ishaan 😭😭
That's why we Indians dont care much about Physics rule or artificial logic while watching Indian movies. We give importance to the emotions behind that.
I can only guess Sir Ram Shankar Nikumbh's painting is called "Ishaan's Lost Smile"
Do you know?
"Lalita lajmi"
who appeared as teacher of an art teacher (Amir khan) was a real Indian painter. She was a self-taught artist born into a family involved in the arts.
We want to see Barfi next
I was bawlinggg even in the reaction!!!!! How come Steph didn't cry?????
Please watch the movie Guzaarish 🙏🏽
I love you Andrew and Steph. And i love this movie. Beautiful reaction.
The story demands actors and actors should restrict themselves as per the story demands. In this movie, if Amir Khan really wants to show his heroism, it would've spoiled the film. He just did what it required. Perfect meter.
Let's imagine If this movie is gonna be remade in Tollywood or Kollywood..
There will be one intro fight and song for hero....then a love story and one duet....a hardcore mass fight with co teachers in pre climax to convince them to participate in painting competition.
Beautiful reaction love to see more from Andrew, Steph
Just wanna tell you that the guy playing principal role in this movie was my theatre teacher back then 😂
Glad you guys watched it all loved your reaction 😍😍
I can't believe i cried again, like actual tears
The only film that made me cry 😢. Masterpiece ❤
I can’t watch this movie again. I have only watched it once and i have never cried so uncontrollably in my life
This man's reviews at the end is the best always. He always says the thing that I would have said. Same for dangal , padmavat , hum Dil de chuke sanam.
indirectly movie promoting boarding school 😂😂😂
Every time I watch this movie, I end up crying.
I've watched this movie dozens of times but still, always makeme cry
One of my favourite movies of all time whenever I watch it motivates me 😇
Bebe brown is a goddess🤗 and a truth seeker with a soul ♥️ very connected reference🙇🏻♂️
Show them more recent hindi films as older films have slow pacings for ppl who are not used to that
I feel Steph has problem with being patient and sitting through difficult moments in movies. The 2nd half of the movie lands because of the path it took in1st half. I felt the same thing in Jab We Meet reactions. Sometimes we need more scenes to understand all the dynamics and relate with the characters better. It's not always about understanding the plot quickly , we need to go through the motion too. Maybe next time, take a breather and remember it's a story and there is a possible sweeter payout at the end.
Also, this movie is not trying to paint the parents as monsters. If you remember the when Ishaan skips school, the audience is shown the reality of the world Ishaan lives in. It's a rat race, and not everyone has the luxury of time. And the parents don't want their kids to be at any disadvantage in it. So they are justified for demanding their kids to do well in studies. The movie is a plea to the parents to not get sucked into this too much and loose sight of what's really important.
We should count ourselves fortunate if we find our calling.
So no one's gonna talk about Andrew's adorable / awkward laughs 🌝🤭
Aamir khan is the best actor in the world!! ❤
Man I cry every time I watch this movie 😢
Thumbnail guy deserves a raise..!
This movie is very powerful... everyone loves this movie and i cry everytime while watching this movie
