Hi Martyn, I have missed seeing you online lately. I guess your boxes are full and your ready for the fishing season. This is the time of year I miss all you great tiers because you're all out fishing. I still can't go yet, but I would love to. All the best to you. Sean (I have tried this fly but the copper wire keeps breaking in my bobbin. I noticed you are using a heavy duty ceramic. Are they expensive? My metal tubes break the wire and don't break thread. Thanks.
Hi Sean, I just use the Tiemco ceramics, they're not as expensive as some of the others. Go with the black tube and make sure that the bobbin holder's arms are bent out so they only lightly hold the spool as the wire needs a freer run than thread. I'll have more videos up soon, just took me a week or two to get back to it after Okinawa
This is a great series you're running here! My kind of fly. Thank you.......

Hi Fario, for the body It's semperfli killer bug yarn and copper wire.
Hope that helps
@@flickingfeathers yes, it helps me. I just looked for on internet and found many...
Thank you very much )))
Have a nice year
Man that bug looks heavy...would get deep fast with that weight.
No mention who the fly tier is: Davie McPhail. Stolen video!
No, I made the video. The killer bug was originated by Frank Sawyer, not Davie Mcphail.
Perhaps you should do a bit more research before you start throwing around accusations
no response?
