- I’ve wanted to get tattooed by the world's oldest tattoo artist since I was 13 years old. I saw a documentary about her on an episode of Tattoo Hunter, the series which inspired me to get tattoos. Never did I dream then that Whang Od, the Philippine’s last Kalinga, would still be tattooing today and that I’d get the chance to meet her. She’s 105 years old and still going strong. Must be something in the rice! We flew 6,666 miles from the UK to the Philippines for this tattoo and I’m excited to share the journey with you. Because it was one hell of a journey to get there…

I had mine. Its an honor to be tattooed by Whang Od. Shes the last traditional tattoo artist ever live.
Out of all my time in tattoo chairs (many hours!) these few moments with Whang Od and Grace were by far the most special. - Dale

This is one of the most incredible story ive seen. Flying half way around the world to get tattoed. She might be the last tattoo artist of their tribe. Legendary. And getting there is not easy even for average Filipinos.

Same hands tattooed headhunters in the early 1900s that's just insane. Kalinga tribe were deemed as the most ruthless tribe in the Philippines.

Surreal and your so lucky you are probably gonna be the few lleft to get tatooed before llets be real she finally pass away although at 106 years old she seems still doing well.
Honestly, she seemed more like a 75 year old. Must be something in the rice!
She's a Legend. You're both Brave. Just imagine doing that tattoo in the face! Our Ancestors does that including their face after probably win a battle. Lapu lapu his Men is full of tattoos. Nowadays you just see many of these in jail.😂
