As we closed out our series Double Blessing, we walked through the words of the Apostle Paul to the Church of Thessalonica-words that were true for them then and remain true for us today. These words remind us to rejoice always, pray continuously, and give thanks in all circumstances. We can choose joy because Joy chose us-Jesus. It is through continuous prayer that we align ourselves with the will of God and invite Him into all our circumstances. Through rejoicing and being in a deeper, more intimate connection with the Holy Spirit, we see opportunities to partner with what God is doing in the world around us. This mindset changes everything, revealing that even in the hardest situations of life, God is present and moving, and we can be thankful to move with Him. A body-a church family-gathering in joy, growing in prayer, and full of thanksgiving, ready to share this Joy with the world.
