github.com/KevAquila/WEBFISHING-Guitar-Player/releases i'd like to add that you may need to add one or both of these EXE files as an exception to your antivirus. there is nothing malicious but windows freaks out if you're trying to automate anything. don't take my word for it though, have a look at the source code yourself.
Thanks for this! I'm noticing that the better your game is running, the more consistently it will play, for me at least. In singleplayer it plays pretty well, but still misses some notes. In multiplayer though, it barely works at all
it seems to have gotten better, but day of release, i'd get like 15 fps playing multiplayer haha. i think that has less to do with the midi guitar and more to do with multiplayer just being a bit of a shitshow. super fun game but needs some optimization for sure.
for everyone whos app isnt opening after adding songs, check if the songs you added have different languages in the file name, i added a song with japanese in the name and it wouldnt open after
@@aarotox5573 i thought i replied to this already, so sorry. i use nanomidi and bitmidi. if you look up the song you want with “midi” after it you’ll probably get a few results depending on the songs popularity
Hey I followed your tutorial but there's a problem... the songs I'm playing seem unrecognizable and all jumbled, I have no idea why. Those songs came up with the program btw
If it's missing notes, its likely because of performance issues, not because notes are out of range. iirc: The program automatically adjusts the pitch of notes that are out of range. The only other time I could think of where they might be cutting themselves off, is if you have multiple notes on the same string and the program can't decide which notes to move, or if theres already a note being held on the string it would normally move to. The solution to this kind of problem would be to manually edit the midi file in your editor/DAW of choice, (I prefer LMMS, but you could also use other programs like FLStudio or even MuseScore, both of which I have used to export midi.) With that being said, if you still find the range is too low or high, you can easily adjust the octive of the whole midi (or select parts), once again in your DAW of choice.
Plays alright for me but the notes sound WAY OFF. Def Not intune in a single song Any way to fix this? I'm testing in Solo and the songs are playing but are nearly unrecognizable cuz the notes are NOT right lol
The problem I'm having is, everything seems ok and the program plays the song, but it doesn't change the notes, so even if it plays, it doesn't sound good
I'm having alot of issues with note skipping. I believe their simply are notes in the midi files that aren't made for the actual guitar itself, thus, their missing and it skips notes. not entirely sure, someone please clarify, I see people having similar issues.
It worked best in 1360x768 resolution, windowed mode, resize able window disabled for me. Change anything else and it just sounds like a bunch of random notes
Great vid! Quick question, when I use the midi player in fullscreen, it always plays songs (including the base included ones) with the wrong notes and a very off rhythm. When I go into windowed mode it gets a tiny bit better, but still not great. Idrk what is causing it, my frame rate and stuff are stable
i tried adding a midi file both to the songs folder and the midi folder, and while i can see them in the guitar player, trying to play them just causes the player to close
Follow up. It can't ONLY be 1080p, is HAS to be borderless or fullscreen. Which makes it difficult because the game doesn't allow tabbing to other programs. Luckily i have a second monitor. Bad news is, i've added a few midi files and am getting the error "Unhandled Exception: Melanchall . DryWetMidi.SmF . NotEnoughBytesException: MIDI file cannot be read since the reader's underlying stream doesn't have enough bytes. Edit: the error happens when launching the MIDI Proccessor (the files do not get loaded into the player) No idea what this means as I have a decent amount of space left on my SSDs.
it's a lot. your computer might not be able to handle it. i would suggest trying the sample files that the dev built into the guitar player to make sure it's not your midi file that's being weird. but if those don't work either, not sure there's much i can do unfortunately. the game is just generally laggy haha
depending on the song you might get lucky and be able to just google "x song midi". otherwise, you're probably going to have to make it yourself. i've been finding sheet music and then opening it with musescore and exporting it as a midi.
how does this change the notes? i'm trying this and it's missing like every note but keeping alright rhythm and i'm wondering if it's something wrong with my setup or it's just being buggy

idk why but it's so funny that cliffs of dover was one of the default songs included in the zip file haha.

@@airbud2goldenreceiver Oh absolutely, definitely not the fault of the midi guitar program at all
PSA!!!!! The program is skipping notes because you're running your game in 1440p OR HIGHER! try lower resolutions until it works!
this fixed a problem i had, thanks
how i lower resolution
works perfectly for me!!! only just tried it in solo but plays clean thank you for helping me supply the vibes
for me it seems to just be consistently skipping a bunch of notes in the songs that come with the program, even in singleplayer
Same..
same, ir looks like it didnt change acords
Do you have high FPS? make sure you're on the game screen by pressing ALT+TAB
same, i’ve followed all the advice in the comments and it still sounds really glitchy
for those having any problems with their guitar being out of tune, play in fullscreen. windowed mode seems to break it.
whaddaya know-- i never knew it cost money for digital signing! i've learned more than one thing
I'm gonna have so much fun with this

Is there a way to stop the tinted overlay while you use it?
Is there some sort of archive I can use to easily locate midi versions of music? I'm having a hard time finding versions of songs I enjoy.
how do i fix most of the notes not getting played?

ahh!! im trying to play a leonard cohen song too !!
The problem I'm having is, everything seems ok and the program plays the song, but it doesn't change the notes, so even if it plays, it doesn't sound good
Fixed it, game needs to be in 1080p or less, I had it in 2k and that's why it didn't work
Could you make a tutorial on automating your own songs? I have the chords for one song and really want to automate it but im not really sure on how :(
