- In this week's video, I give you all of my personal tips and tricks on how to buy the best concert tickets! I've been to over 10 concerts so I'd consider myself somewhat of an expert haha. I broke this video up into three parts so feel free to jump to any time stamp that best fits your situation!

ALSO!!!! Absolutely know which section you want to sit at and don't start browsing for seats in other places even if they look a little more inexpensive, because if the artist usually sells out in 5 minutes or less, your moment of indecision will cost you! It's better to be there then to be left out!!!

Thank you!! I waited one month after they went on sale to get my Ben Platt tickets and I still managed to get the best VIP package for myself and my BF. But Shawn Mendes tho... I gotta remember to be there when presale happens. His gold VIP was gone in SECONDS. I will fite someone for my gold VIP Shawn ticket... on next tour. I've seen Shawn perform twice during my pre-college years but I'm so close to graduating and that means I'll be earning more money! I am determined to see him and get a great seat with gold VIP on next tour. There are still some pretty good Shawn tickets for one of the dates in my hometown, but I'm holding off because I'm already meeting Ben Platt next year. Also I agree about Pit tickets. I think it's so overrated and I don't want to be shoved or standing in that big crowd. As long as I secure the gold VIP then I'm good!

I’m buying tickets for the first time for Olivia’s GUTS tour and I checked the website to see the photos from selected seats. It confuses me because on that website the layout of the arena looks completely different than the one on the Ticketmaster page (that’s all the way in the bottom) 😭😭 I’m kinda stressed. I’m just guessing that the one on Ticketmaster is a generic looking arena and when you’re actually buying the tickets it’ll show the actual layout
Yes part 2 please! I’m confused what you mean by like a queue and a waiting room? Is that only when a concert is really popular and close to selling out ? And with official platinum, are there any benefits than gen ad? Like do you have a reserved seat, etc
Basically the waiting room shows the event details! The “waiting room” is simply a page and on that page there will be a button that says “Join The Queue”. The queue is where you will get in line for the event (but as I mentioned in the video, the moment tickets go on sale everyone gets randomized in the queue). This is typical for most concerts. Small concerts often don’t have this because the demand isn’t high so Ticketmaster doesn’t worry about their site crashing. And there is no benefit to official platinum, other than the price fluctuating. It’s best to buy official platinum tickets when the demand is LOW because the official platinum tickets will be lower in price than regular tickets! Let me know if you have any other questions :)
@@CarolynMorales ohhh I think I get it. So the queue is for people who want to score a deal, if available, for the event. But yes, I do have one more question🤔 so there is a concert happening in October but tickets are available to purchase now. Since official platinum doesn’t offer any benefits, I’m confused as to why they are higher if the seats operate on a first come basis with gen. Ad. Like on the site, standard ad is $175. Official platinum is $225. I’m confused because both those tickets are for the same section and row. I don’t get the correlation in prices and which is better. Can you help please
Since the official platinum tickets are more expensive, that means demand for the tickets are high. It’s a way for ticketmaster to make more money basically. I recommend buying the regular concert tickets. Only buy official platinum if they are cheaper than the regular tickets. From my own personal experience, it’s pretty rare for them to be cheaper since concerts usually have high demand. Only once have I ever bought official platinum tickets. The seats in the section were about $250 and the official platinum tickets in the same section were $150, so I got a good deal! Hope this helps!
@@CarolynMorales and to think I was going to pay for OP thinking I’d get some sore of perk😳, thank you so much for replying last question foreal this time😭 so what is this whole thing I see a lot of people saying its best to get there, being inside the pit and your seat, early because someone else can take it? How do if you pay for your seat, isn’t it rightfully yours at that point? Or people simply dont care and if they see an open seat, they take it? Would a way to avoid that happening is to do what you need to do whether it be bathroom,buying food, etc and go straight to your seat and stay there until the concert is over?
So general admission and pit are the exact same thing. It basically means that you don’t have a reserved seat. There are no seats, it’s only standing space. People get to the venue early to make sure to get a good spot close to the stage. The later you get to the venue, the further away you will be from the artist! You’ll know if you have a reserved seat if the tickets say a ROW and SEAT NUMBER. In that case, you wouldn’t need to get there early or worry about someone taking your seat! :)

I am buying floor seats to a few shows this year I just want to know if I get floor do I have to get there early day of the concert to wait in line to get to barricade or should I buy a 100s row ticket idk
Hey girl! Thank you for this useful video. I'm planning on going to Justin Bieber's Justice Tour next month. I'm wanting to buy a floor ticket, but I'm worried that I will not be able to get a good view of him because of my height... Do you know if lower section seats are good for short people? Also, if I do end up buying a floor ticket, should I wear high heels to get a better view of Justin? (I hope that's not a silly question.)
Lower section has its downsides if you’re short (I’m 5’2 so I’d know haha) but it’s not horrible. The main issue would be being behind a tall person but that honestly goes for any section. Luckily for a concert like Justin’s he’s going to be on an elevated stage so you shouldn’t have an issue seeing him from the lower section. Also personally, I wouldn’t wear high heels since you’ll be standing for very long but if you think you’ll have trouble seeing over people’s heads I’d recommend heeled boots! From my experience they’re much more comfier to stand in than high heels :)
How long should I wait for ticket prices to go down? The tickets were sold out the first week they were on sale but then the next week, they appeared again but much more expensive. Like $60 jumped to $400.😭
When they are so much expensive it's because the people who buy them resale them

Buying only one ticket will give you more options but usually there’s not too much of a difference!

I always just put my faith in the “best seats” option haha! Unless there is a specific section you want. In that case, click the section you want on the map!
I'm trying to get james marriott tickets and I'm so stressed about it because it's a 600 person venue. Last time they sold out in 20 seconds. Wish me luck lol
hey! i have a question so i was going to a concert 2 years ago and it got postponed because of covid. in 2 weeks is happening but i lost my tickets, what can i do? i do have proof and everything but not the tickets
I suggest emailing/calling the ticket booking site directly because maybe they can retrieve them for you! If that doesn’t work, perhaps the box office can help you on the day of the concert!

I recommend laptop! The website on the phone is much more condensed and can be confusing to navigate.

Each presale has a certain number of tickets being sold! It shouldn’t sell out because tickets need to be available when they go on sale to the general public!

I'm trying to get a reasonable ticket price for a concert in Vegas in March. The tickets for the good seats are over 1,000. Nosebleed is around 400. I hope I can get in the day of but that's risky.
It’ll be risky but not impossible! I recommend checking the box office on the day of!

How much is the service fee/tax for tix on ticketmaster usually? Is it normally kind of expensive?
It totally depends on the actual price of the ticket, but I’ve usually seen the fees be around $15-30 for tickets that are around $50-150!
@@CarolynMorales Thanks for your help! Ticketmaster hiked up the prices really high for a concert I want to go to. I am hoping the prices drop closer to the event time. 🥲🙈 They were sold out on Ticketmaster and then few days later, the tickets reappeared more expensive than ever!
So I found your video and i find it very helpful! I do have a question for you though cause what you talked about in your video is very close to my situation. Tickets went on sale I think January but my concert I’m planning to go to isnt till October and it’s for Shaina Twain! So seats are almost all gone and what’s left is crappy expensive seats. So you think I should wait around till May to see if any other seats come up for resale?
Definitely! People’s plans change last minute so expect more tickets to pop up closer to the concert date. May is an ideal month to start checking! Honestly all through summer just keep an eye on resale sites because that’s when tickets can be listed for cheap prices since the demand isn’t as high.
Appreciate the reply and I’ll do that! Tickets are outrageous still and I don’t mind waiting for the absolute best deal I can get.

I’m in the same boat! I’ve been tracking prices for his tour but they don’t seem to be changing. I’d say your best bet might be to buy tickets the day of. Start tracking the prices in case they start dropping as the date gets closer though! For example, you said nosebleeds in your area are $200-300. If you see them drop to $100-200 that probably means closer sections are dropping in price as well! Good luck :)

Yes the box office is located at the arena! You can usually find the exact location of the box office and hours they are open on their website :)
Nothing compares to getting tickets to mandarin pop artist Jay Chou. My wife is Chinese and she loved Jay Chou her whole life. Really want to bring her to see him live, but it’s literally impossible. Tried so many times but it’s sold out within seconds. Trying this Friday again… really want to do this for her.

You’ll need to be on separate accounts! Ticketmaster can recognize when multiple devices are logged into one account

General admission means there are no seats, so it is best to get there asap to secure a spot close to the front!

Yes exactly, so more standing tickets should become available in the next presale! Each presale only sells a certain amount of any ticket (standing, sitting, etc). And don’t worry, I love being able to help out :)

No, you are only allowed to be logged into one device per account! If possible, you can have friends or family log into their own accounts to help you out!

Definitely. I’m also trying to get Harry tickets and I’ve seen people start camping out overnight to secure box office tickets. The earlier you go, the better your chances are.

Ticketmaster only allows you to be logged into your account on one device. But you can make different accounts and log into those on different devices!
I bought tickets from tickpick and where transferred to ticket master but I don’t know if they are legit. I’m scared I got scammed even though I already have my seats 🥺
I’ve never purchased from tickpick but since the tickets were transferred to your ticketmaster successfully I’m assuming they are legit! I really hope it all works out!

It depends! I prefer close seats because at least you can sit while you wait for the performer to go on stage and you won’t have as many people in front of you. But I prefer floor over nosebleed seats (seats all the way in the back).

Have you ever been to the Kia forum in Los Angeles? I got tickets for Sam smith in august of this year, I decided to get early entry GA tickets.
Is there seats? It says “stand ticket” but when I see photos of the GA floor I see seats.
Hey, yes I’ve been there several times! The layout of the floor is completely dependent on the artist. Since your ticket is labeled as a stand ticket, that means there will not be any seats on the floor (I also confirmed this by checking his concert layout on Ticketmaster). Hope this helps!

Have you gotten the early entry VIP GA tickets at the Kia Forum? If so, even when it’s early entry I should be there early? To get barricade.
I’ve never gotten early entry for the Forum, but I have for other venues. You don’t necessarily need to camp out or be there many hours early, but definitely plan on getting there maybe an hour or two early to beat the other people with early entry tickets. VIP tickets are generally very limited so wherever you are in line for early entry will basically secure you the barricade or very close to it :)

10 whole concerts. I've seen Metallica 55 times alone lol. My best advice is be in a band's fan club to get presale. Or wait till the day of the show and tickets get released.

What I noticed is closer to the date they release really cheap tickets for good seats that haven’t been snapped up yet. So you more than likely still have a chance of getting tickets, I’d say keep checking ticketmaster, especially like a week before the date.

I'm the type of person who takes time on buying generally anything just because I want to be sure I am getting the best price for what I pay. At the moment I am stressing out on which site to use to buy Tyler the Creator tickets. I've used Seatgeek before but they always charge you the ticket price and then a TON of additional fees which sucks.
