Anthony, great advice, but people have lives, I sat there for 18 minutes watching you go over the same thing over and over and over and over again 🥸 please be concise, that way people might be able to watch more of your videos.

Instead of complaining, simply speed it up or don't watch. Some people need things explained more than once, and obviously, he has experienced that in person, so it is just the way he talks to try and get his point across. Considering he doesn't cut his videos like 99% of You Tuber's, and they're mostly done on a whim, you shouldn't be so picky or judgemental.

Thanks a bunch for the info and banta, getting use to a daily dose of D4 refreshments is most welcoming. The Dealerships can't compete with guy's like you and I, simply because they have massive overhead costs and many non productive staff to support the money grab at the desk. I've been through that and have seen the results first hand, not a great number of experienced techs getting around as they can't afford to pay for them.

I have to say that Coffs Harbour Toyota have been pretty good to me. I haven't had major problems to test them out, but they were really good in sorting out the warranty dpf issues with my Fortuner. They are reliable and will reduce the quoted service price if they can save time on the job. Very professional and friendly, which is unusual for this part of the world where most business are here for the beach lifestyle and are impossible to get reliable service from.

I feel your frustration dude.I took a Patrol to a Nissan main dealer a few years ago on behalf of a customer. The Patrol would not rev past 2000rpm's.Long story short they said it was the diesel pump but they couldn't diagnose it properly! 🙈 I bought it home and fixed it myself in 20 minutes,it was a wire off the coolant temp sensor wiring connector. Yet Nissan main dealers couldn't know or find this 🙈🙈😆

Brilliant and informative videos Anthony. I have a 07 Prado 3.0 D4D with 156,000klms. It is immaculate, never towed, never off road and basically just a school taxi. I have noticed a build up of oil on the front of the block just beneath the half moon part of the rocker cover. Took it to mechanic today for a quick look and he said 'likely a cracked rocker cover, so buy a new one'. Just wondering Anthony, is a crack in teh rocker cover a common thing, or is it in your view likely more to be a worn out gasket??? Do i replace the whole thing, or just replace the gasket? Many thanks, Adam

Dealers have the worst techs haha - senior techs sit in office and apprentice does all work. I took my car back to Ford cause they left a steering shaft seal half installed after some work. Took it back. Within 5 mins said yep fixed. 5 seconds driving afterwards could tell it wasnt. Fixed it myself when i got home in less than 5 mins. Thats the quality of dealership work ;)

    Toyota thailand
Got a 50.000 kms service coz i was planing to cross a boarder into Laos 25 kms into Laos timeing belt warning light came on. This should have been changed at the service. Toyota missed that one. The next service they said i needed shocks but only changed 1. Also if you need service at Toyota around lunch time forget it they all go to lunch at the same time

They have tried to enter C900 instead of 0900, pretty easy to tell the difference seems theres a C in the top section of the code.
Personally I've never seen these codes make any difference to fuel economy idling or power, but I still do them anyway.
Every time I do a valve and injector set on larger diesel engines I check the trim codes match whats in the ECM, and you find one occasionally is wrong due to roadside replacement or lazy Technician's.
Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching people that know what they are talking about.

QR CODE (can't read that higgle-dy-piggley dot system - by eye, & so)..
    Normal Letters and Number Digits.
    Top line: 1803 1607
    2nd Top line: FCFD FOFA
    Ah - NOW THERE'S A PROBLEM MATE.. IS THAT "0" AN OH - OR A ZERO ?
    >>>>>>>>>>
3rd line (the one below the raised plastic island barrier): FEFD 04FF (again a dodgy oh/zero)
    Final 4th line - (below all the others): C900 F0 *
    Buggah - 4th line ?
There's way too many chances of getting them OH's mixed up with ZERO's..
And what the hell is that star for?
As for all the other "spare" spoken worded lines ????
They were all inserted there for ear pain effects - & were all done via (even for me) way too much verbose talking?
Talking incessantly - to try and focus on way too many things, not just on THIS video at hand, but on here there & even outside around in the backyard that needs fixing some fine (non talking) day too - they are taking forever with wasted words, to blindly go where no one's ears - want you to go.
    = Total boredom.
HOWEVER - here's a wee oversight / undersight - "physical" reading problem - that no one seems to have noticed (or am I just a suspicious Bastard)?
The digits on the top are somewhat DELIBERATELY spoiled - in that they actually look as if they are NOT what they first appear as?
    Like is it really:
    1803 1607 FCFD FOFA FEFD 04FF C900 F0 *
Or maybe it's deliberately botched so that you cannot read it as it SHOULD be read as:
    ie:
Is it rather a different code altogether.
    1803 1607 ... P CFD FOFA ... P EFD 04FF & 0900 F0 *
    ??
Or are all those zero's actually OH's and should read (as)
    18(oh)3 16(oh)7 ... P CFD F(oh)FA ... P EFD (oh)4FF & (oh)9(oh-oh) F(oh) *
As that is also a very distinct (deliberately hidden) code.
Ah-hah so THAT is what that star is for - the double expletive that includes it a(LL)
    As in F-OH-ALL
