I'm painting this Mi-Jack kit too and having the same problem with the yellow paint, I keep painting, but still see through. Glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Yours looks pretty great though
thanks!, If I did it again, I would try Tamiya rattle can surface primer, followed with XF-3 yellow. Live and learn, I am happy with the slight orange tint that came out. Good luck!
@@NarbonneGauchoBoingo That's actually what I started out with Tamiya rattle cans, but I just got sick of the smell and toxic fumes it would leave behind. So I decided to switch to airbrush and vallejo halfway since it's nontoxic. But I'm very new to airbrushing, not as easy as a spraycan. Tamiyas would definitely go on easier. I don't know if it's just me or the airbrush doesn't spray over a large area as effectively so it takes forever. I hope I eventually get it done Thanks!

I remember making this kit as a kid. Of course it wasn't the best "my work" But a fun to play with.
I work at the Hobart Yard and remember when they used to be Taylor’s by Washington Liftgate which have now been bought out by Mi Jack I believe
I had some difficulty with this kit. You did a great job. I found a can of matte orange spray paint and it looks ok.
thank you! yea, the paint I used was a bear, tricky too, as there moving parts and rails. I would try a Tamiya flat yellow next time.
Here in Australia, we call them Straddle Cranes and they only lift containers not trailers.
paint it white first, then yellow. Nice job!
Very nice!
THANKS!
You obviously know what your talking about, you drink Dr Pepper. 😅
