From what I can read, Adimanti is their new Designer's line and in this case, the designer is Skimen Ruslan from Ukraine. Like with any designer, price goes up to pay fees to the designer. When I first saw the pics, I though it would be Titanium as it looked like it had a harden steel insert, but I guess not, it's just an overtravel stop so I think in that case their price went up to much. While Ganzo is successful in the $20s, they might have a hard time in the 40s as they are entering some pretty tough competition at this price point, civivi, besttech, artisan, ruike, tuya just to name a few.
We used to drink behind the grocery in high school. The dude that worked inside would set out however much cash we left in an envelope . I got this because I seen it for $40 something and now $29 with carbon fiber overlay looks, decent . Action is superb after adjusting . Good value imho. I think this knife doesn’t get the attention because no one knows it’s now $29 in may 2022. Comes in red and many other colors . The frame lock is an easy slide away unlike many kershaws and the action and closing . Amazing . Praised it enough but form$30 it’s got a good 3.6 something blade . This one’s a winner
I've been using D2 Ganzos around the house for the last few months and like them a lot. I have to agree with you, at $43, that getting awfully close to Civivi and Bestek who have better fit and finish. How are the non-sharpened areas of the blade on this one? My only complaint with my current Ganzos are the sharp edges on the back of their blades and finger choils. They are a great gift BTW. I gave several away for Christmas and they are the best knives the recipients have ever had. The perfect gateway knife.
Hey man ,I know the dude who designed this knife ,Skimen is actually his last name, guy lives in Ukraine and fixing knives for hobby,he is a youtuber, he design this knife to be a simple, easy to take a part for cleaning, easy to fix working horse, and not that expensive. Gonzo didn't do a couple things he wanted them to put in his knife ,like he planned to use titanium instead of steel on there handle(keeping the same price) g10 insert should be same color with side plate and couple things more, but they made it pretty good, D2 on this knife is good ,glass breaker has ceramic ball in it.
I really love my big ole CIVIVI Praxis, but it doesn't seem to open as easy as I would like. What do you recommend? What is the best bearing oil? I want it to gravity close easier.
Thanks for the content! I always like more options on the market, but I’m unsure of what Ganzo is doing here. A “premium” Ganzo line? I think Ganzo saw all the makers around the $40-50 price range and wanted to enter that segment... I think it may be a bit tough for them to fight Civivi, Bestech, and the like.
I heard that Ganzo has brought in special designers to make new knives, I wonder if this is one and why its more expensive? The FH41 in one of my knives that I keep throwing in my pocket. My CIVIVI Praxis is the other one. This knife is pulling me in, I may have to get the green one.
Might have to look at the Praxis, I don't like the shape of the baklash. Love my fh41 though, my one budget knife that I carry as much as my expensive knives
Weird, I was just thinking about Ganzo. I really like the overall shape of the knife but, I don't like duel handle framelocks either. I'll probably stick to their originals.
I have nothing against the big brands, on the contrary I would love to have them if only I could afford them. I'm in Thailand and I could get Firebirds from 400-600 baht whereas a counterfeit Spyderco tenacious is 2,000 baht
Reminds me of the Al Mar SERE knife, the blade does anyway. For a folding dagger it's nice, but might scare some non knife ppl. I love daggers, so it works for me.
@@johndaniels4009 , that is not the case, first few years Ganzo hit the market, they occasionally put out some that had issues ranging from poor hardware quality, inconsistent action, wonky edges and early ones used truck leaf springs for g lock and some minor stuff. I will say this though, they have responded to customer feedback like I have never seen in the knife industry. Within weeks sometimes they have changed/fixed issues we fuss about in last few years.
I’ve got sooooo many frame lock flippers..I agree with Nick, we don’t need any more..I don’t. And these cost more than Ganzo..I’ll take the TwoSun stuff at that price.
Huh, nobody has actually commented on why the price is higher. Ok, so here's the sitch: -The framelock side might be titanium (you see it has a lockbar insert, which is what makes some think it might be TI or Aluminium) -This one actually has a designer that you can recognize and look up, it's not an in-house design, but rather part of their push to license designs from fans of the brand.
Dang...I really like quality budget knives...Ganzos have been putting out a few very nice specimens lately. Adimanti??? Is that an Italian built knife?
Hey, this isn't really related to this, but would you recommend the kme? Is it the best sharpener you've used? I'm going into this cautious, because I'm 19 and im in a rock band, so money isn't extreme to me right now, I'll have to save up a little while to get it, but if it's something you guys would reccomend I'll dave up for it😂 I'm a man that likes to live within my means, which is why I only own a few benchmades😂lmk if you can. Thanks! Great video
I foresee them phasing out the Firebird line and replacing it with this new label. I’m guessing they’re thinking it will be more palatable to come out with a new brand with higher prices instead of just saying, “Hey, prices are going up quite a bit on our knives.” Maybe not, but I agree that it looks like the same Ganzo product with some different words and a higher price tag. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with it.
@@ohioknifelover On most titanium framelocks a lockbar insert will also act like a overtravelstop but on this knife the looks are pretty deceiving in a way that i thought that Ganzo brought out a titanium framelock in a kinda Twosun/Fura gear fashion (cheap but good). The price of 44 bucks made me think that it was a titanium flipper.
I just checked on ebay. The carbon fiber is 45$ as is the other G10 EXCEPT the black G10 is 49$ wtf? That's weird. I kimd of like it its not bad. I might try one.

Meh, I like the standard Ganzo FH-41. I’m not much of a fan of the Chinese D-2 though. D-2 is tricky to heat treat properly in a high production facility. I would prefer that they go to AUS-8. It’s a really good steel that is more forgiving in the heat treating process. Plus AUS-8 is a very common knife steel that has proven itself in production knives.

I'm a huge Ganzo fan. And I don't get this. It's the same materials and quality but at twice the price, it's biggest competitor is itself then. I hope it isn't some half baked attempt to rebrand to appease the anti-copy crowd, they're going to reject it as soon as they see "made by ganzo" anyway.
I think it is an OK knife. I didn't see anything that would make me want to pay more than I would for a Firebird that's for sure. The steel is no different didn't here you say anything that would differentiate it from any other Ganzo. Ok has a different brand name but so what it is still a Ganzo. Nothing wrong with that but changing name on the box hardly makes the knife worth 20 dollars more. Thanks for showing that ugly purple. The orange is probably every bit if not more obnoxious.
New brand from Ganzo. Not budget anymore. (for me at least) I'd only buy this knife (at this price) instead of a firebird fh series if it had a better blade steel. Otherwise, it just doesn't make sense.
