simple AI i made at university

during the 4th semester at university i had a class called "intelligent systems" which was about artificial intelligence.
The first class was about the basics of MATLAB and right after the very first class we got a sort of homework which was about hard coding an object to move in a pre determined direction. I had never used MATLAB but i came up with an idea to generate a random maze and place the AI in the top left corner and let it find a path to the target. The AI is the yellow square and the target is the dark blue square.
I was sort of proud of it cause we only learned about the basics of MATLAB and i was already coding such cool stuff but my joy didn't last long cause after the second class we made an even better AI than mine.
This video is a rather a "best of montage" cause my AI wasn't too intelligent. It could easily get stucked in corners so irecorded some scenes where it managed to find the target.
Fun fact: the background music was also done by me. I was messing around FL Studio and wanted to make a lofi song and ended up making it. I wanted to recreate a guitar riff i heard a while ago but i didn't remember the exact melody and this is what i made.
