Looking back on all this as an adult, I now realize that the Littles are really well off. I mean to have all that in New York especially during that time period.
The moment George said his viewpoint in front of everyone, Stuart felt so hurt and belittled he would then ask his parents that night about his birth family…💔
I say that's normal. Any kid adopted would want to know their real parents. I wanted to know when I was younger. Still do on one of them after 3 decades.
5:24 (That night, Eleanor and Frederick were in their bed sleeping. As Eleanor turns to her left side of the bed, she starts yelping and shrieking as she wakes up) Mrs. Little: (Wakes up yelping and shrieking) Mr. Little: (Wakes up) What, what? Where? (Eleanor turns on her lamp, and she and Frederick lifted up the bed cover and found Stuart)
I just realized as I grew up that Stuart can represents kids that are different. Ones with disabilities, different race, and different looks. The ones that if orphaned would rarely get pick or even get to dream of getting adopted. George saying Stuart can’t do any of these things and it’s a waste to even try can be a metaphor for how “regular” children can see their adopted sibling strange or someone who is not worth the effort, as they are immature and don’t realize that family can come in all shapes and sizes. The show references many scenes where he can’t do things other kids can, he is different, and his family is of different race. However, moment the parents saw Stuart they knew in their hearts he is special and no matter what anyone says he deserves to be part of their family. I also love how they get emotional when they see Stuart struggling with being different and try their best to make up for it.
the part when Stuart and his parents are in bed 🛌 when he wants to ask them something it kinda sounds like a dog barking but I’m sure it’s just his mom
Why would you adopt a mouse from an orphanage like what if it had some disease or something also you could just buy one at the pet store they are like $7.99 This comment is just a joke don’t take it seriously
@@estherhazina889 He... apparently was still human; he just LOOKED like a mouse. ...okay, yeah, it's weird no matter how you look at it. The movie almost sounds better than everything I heard about the book, no offense to E. B. White. I mean, his book inspired the movie; so, if not for him, we wouldn't even HAVE the movie in the first place.
Don’t you guys see how insane this is? They went to an orphanage and they chose a rat 🐀 it was because they dint want to adopt another kid so they decided to bring a rat and say hey this can be your brother! Better than saying I can only buy you a rat 😒
It is so sweet how they all immediately accepted him into the family!
Because it's a kids movie
@@GregFranco Good point!
I Probaly wanted to be polite but I'm sure they all warm up to the little mouse eventually.
It's wild seeing Dr House being so kind and anti-sarcastic
When he doesn't have a leg problem and a loving family.....lol
And Marty McFly playing a mouse
Hugh Laurie is the beat actor! Loved seeing him in 101 Dalmatians as Jasper too!
At 5:30, I always wondered why she barked like a dog 🤣
Not to be rude but George has a good point. I too would think my family is nuts if they chosed a mouse over a human kid
True buts its a talking mouse

But what if it was tactical? Think of how much money they save on food, clothes, and other expenses 🤣
Michael J Fox's comedic timing in this movie is top notch.

"That's what happened to me one summer I just shot right up" 🤣🤣
Shot not shut lol.
Harold Gould who plays grandpa Spencer in this was also Miles from the Golden Girls.
1:06 - “Shy” 👈 Brilliant and hilarious delivery. Funniest part of the film.
Imagine being the kid not chosen over a mouse

@@mr.unknown9046 Hey, Mr. Unknown. What's so funny? Explain me. Did the Littles buy some clothes for Stuart, huh?

Stuart is cool. Screw those other kids.
Only honest and logical person 😂😂..George
Small changes (literally) can do wonders, George. Just give it a chance.
The Little family must run through the family with sons just to keep the last name 'Little' going lol.
Staurt everything alright in there? Don't come in 😅😅😅
1:03 “Don’t come in”
How’s one supposed to?
Stuart is changing and he doesn't want to be disturbed
They can put their finger and their thumb and push the curtains aside
Ben was based on the Ken doll. The budget would've been to high if they used the name 'Ken'.
Exactly
True

This, and the McCalister family from Home Alone. They’re RICH.

George really hurt Stuart’s feelings. Stuart is a good character.
2:35 they're all like:
WTF is that?
Maybe George can ride the bike with Stuart on it and Stuart can ride inside of the bowling ball if George rolls it😊. 😄
The only scene when Mrs Little wears glasses. So all the Littles wear glasses.
My school was addicted to this movie back in 2015....oh god such sweet memories of childhood

Raising a mouse turned him insane so he became a Doctor so he'd never have to deal with a non-human again.
Mr Rooney
4:02 Now I know, fairy tales are real.
The Ben doll was based on the Ken doll. If they used the name Ken then they'd have to pay.
A mouse that talks 😱 haaaaaaaaa
You can so tell this was written by M. Night Shyamalan by all the corny dialogue. Especially the "empty space" stuff.
M Night Shamalama Dingdong may be a questionable director
But these 2 movies hold a special place in my heart for my values

Compare Taylor Negron's role here with Last Boy Scout. He was waaay underutilized in Hollywood
Gladiator Ben would’ve come with a helmet because gladiators wear them at all wars
