I embarked on a Horrifying biome once. I have no idea what was raining, but it caused broken bones AND blisters. It was a pretty sweet fortress that worked out for a while, with many great features carved into the ice. Unfortunately a werebeast outbreak killed most of them off and I ended up abandoning it.
Recently I started a fortress in a haunted glacier. It's not a reanimating evil biome, but it does frequently rain blue goo that causes creatures to bleed and eventually lose consciousness. The local fauna include polar bears, yeti, and ice wolves, and some poor critters that wander in from a freezing savanna in the bottom right corner of the map.
