River's chord progression and arpeggio idea alone here is already brilliant enough but what really blows my mind is that he manages to bring that idea into realization impeccably with HIS ORIGINAL COMBOS. Even if I come up with good original melodies, I can always hear the influence of Gene directly/indirectly in my execution and I just can't even imagine what it takes to set a complete track with one's own original sound set. You never cease to inspire me River.....

This is one of the most impressive beatboxing routines I've seen in 10 years. That pitch accuracy is insane.
I don't know if this is a very common thing to say about beatboxing, but River' is so original and unique. His music takes you on a journey. It paints a picture. It tells you a story. You feel every piece of the music. Every sound, every visual, it's all such a surreal thing how beatboxing opens my eyes to a different world of music and art.
That's probably very cheesy to say, but that's how I see beatboxing, and River' represents that so perfectly. ✨️

Honestly I don't even know where to start, the fact that you can consistently hold a high note like that and have it sound good is already crazy, the switch from I think falsetto to head voice ( Sorry if I got it wrong I don't know the names ) Is so smooth and clean then the hollow whistles added just make it unreal. Been a bb fan for a long time, seen my classic heroes big up the discipline and do it justice, seen my Asians make technical their absolute bitches and create sound scapes that amaze and impress.... Then this guy... My guy River.... Somehow adds sexy sound, mythic melody and humble harmony to literally every iteration he throws out.
Power, elegance and total command of the overall feel of a piece of music, not just the amazing ability to make inhuman sounds, like most beast boxers, I applaud their ability to do what I can't, sure, but its always seemed messy and cacophonic for most artists. Not River. River is one of the few bb artists I could listen to his stuff for its overall music piece value. Keep up the killing-it bro. You're on top of your genre in my opinion.
