Great video thank you very much! You should’ve showed people the rope method, I find it is the best in the field! You don’t have a big awkward set of tongs to carry around just a 6 foot length of double over, and Paracord, or something along that size and diameter. Some thing I do that I have not seen anyone else do when I set my springs in anticipation of getting them to the field and having them ready to set an a rapid get in get out quick situation. After I sent my springs, I put the spring lock on, Then I use an extra large, heavy duty, zip tie from spring loop to spring loop to just put enough tension on that the safety latch stays placed but has something to help hold the spring as it’s bouncing around being carried to your set. I’ll leave that on until the entire trap set is ready to be placed in its final position, once everything is in final position, I cut the zip ties, remove the spring safeties, and move on to the next set. Tongs are nice but I’ve left them in the field before by accident, I consider them to be awkward to use, but a foot loop rope fits right near pocket, and even a kid 11 to 13 years old can use that loop with six pass-throughs to set the springs. So show the rope it is in my opinion the best method! By the way, did you shoot this video at a place with archery targets near a gun store in Obetz Ohio? If so, we are neighbors and need to talk lol.
Andrew, the WCS Safety works very well as I have many different ones. I would only tell people to be careful with the tether line that when moving it around the cord doesn’t get caught up on the trigger, I know this from personal experience lol. Thanks
Very good video- the Duke 160 traps I purchased safety latches are long enough where the jaws have a long way to go to allow you to set the trip bar. When doing so the safety latches always fall away and become useless. Is that normal?
Good idea It would be great if he also said where we could purchase those safety and ratchet setting tools and also the looped cable anchor. its one thing to show us the safety devices and another to make them available!
Wait...wouldn't it be much safer to release your hooks and then release your safety DEAD LAST??? I'm not the type of guy who wants to be a know it all and correct people, I'm just the type of person who likes his hands lol, I was just thinking that I'd be pretty nervous about freeing those spring hooks up with the safety gone!
I was thinking the same especially in elbow deep water setting them I would think it’d be easer to take the safeties off the side put it in and then take the top one off
Take this video down and remove all pics and videos of me from all websites and all this companies social media outlets. New ownership does not have my permission to use anything with my face or name
If you need a setter to set your 330's you shouldn't be using 330's Trap respect is earned through hand setting "The only true source of knowledge is experience"
cant deny respect earned by hand setting, but what about using brand new 330s they're pretty stiff? I'd rather keep my fingers than prove something to another dude in camo
Best in-depth video I've watched so far on how to set these traps and how to properly use the safety tools. Thanks for sharing 👍

I can set a 330 with ONE HAND!! I have to. I lost the other hand in a 330 trap! :):):)
I ran Traps for many years with nothing but a piece of chute cord./.
Then go back to your outdated ways old man. Stop whining on a UA-cam video with your "back in my day" crap.
Just set them by hand!
I'm too old.
Take this video down and remove all pics and videos of me from all websites and all this companies social media outlets. New ownership does not have my permission to use anything with my face or name
That take to long to set ! Lol !

Wow. Whatever, dude.

Yeah sure, tough guy. I just got some new Bridger 330s and have fun setting them by hand.
If you have a beard and can’t set a 330 with your hands, SHAVE OFF THAT BEARD cause you aren’t half the man you think you are.
What grade are you in now?
I can't find where he said "he" couldn't set them by hand, the video is demonstrating use of trap setters and safeties. Lighten up Francis.
@@klappy803 i do set them by hand i dont use these setters it was just a demonstration
@@klappy803 Francis?? Listen to me anus, I don’t like anyone touching trap setters…. Any of you homos touch trap setters… and I’ll kill ya… 😂😂😂
