I'd rather have a durable truck than one with a lavish interior. Toyota knows what their customers want and that's why they're so successful in my opinion.
haha I am glad I wasn't the only one that noticed... not good to drive empty but I guess since it's new there isn't much impurity residue at the bottom of the tank.. still not good
I feel the same about Toyota interiors. They use really cheap plastics and they're not always very nice to look at, but then they ask a premium price. Doesn't seem right, but when you factor in the reliability of the brand, and the fact that it's pretty much the last pickup with a manual transmission on the market (if you don't count the Gladiator, which is vastly more expensive), these trucks end up selling despite the crappy interiors. This, in turn, tells the Toyota development team nothing's wrong with it, so they shouldn't really bother changing anything, and so they continue to produce these dated interiors and ask premium prices.
I can see how small your brain is. Companies don't have unlimited money on a product, Toyota puts their money into reliability and long term engineering. Unlike most companies just trying to hop on fads with unreliable, half-ass technology. Toyota interiors also last, unlike these "higher quality" one's you are talking about. Toyota knows their customers; function over form.
I find it really hard to reason buying a new Tacoma other than the fact they come in manual. The price is absurdly high for such a basic truck. And the biggest downfall for me is the bed size. I would rather buy a basic xl f-150 with the 5.0 and probably have the same reliability.
2022 Toyota Tacoma shifty shifty shifty with 6 speed manual transmission ! Exterior looks good, maroon color would look good on it ... Inside looks egonomic & comfortable ... Slainte' ! Cheers !
I just placed an order for a sport premium in 6 speed manual. I am up in Ontario Canada and they said it will take 8-10 months. I currently have a 2022 corolla hatchback 6speed manual that I am enjoying but too small for a family man. With that being said, I am hurting to trade it in as much as I want the Tacoma but I wish I could have both as my rolla is so fun to drive and it feels pretty luxurious and classy compared to the Tacoma more "roughness" interior and feel when I test drove the manual.
@@KTB3007 Hey! Congrats! I got my sport premium 6spd manual at the end of April, been loving it ever since! The other dealership I was on a waitlist for a TRD Pro in manual called me like a week later to tell me they have one arriving in summer but it was in white, I got magnetic grey, couldn't be happier with this colour!
@@KTB3007 yeah enjoy man! I went with the TRD lift and biggest tires and wheels for this lift and yeah it drives great but my fuel economy is on avg 16L/100 😅
I remember when this gen came out. I bought a 17' and thought the interior was awesome. I now own a silverado and looking at going back to this. Kinda disappointed the interior stayed the same but doesnt seem that outdated to me considering i owned this truck 5 years ago. Its subjective definitely but atleast its not a nissan
I love my '23 Sport Prem Manual. The only finnicky thing about the Manual transmission is the shift from 2nd to 3rd. the Syncros want it between 2500 and under 3000 Rpm. I am still breaking in the engine as I got it with only 15km (Canada model) on it.
You keep mentioning about it being/feeling 'old', while i disagree, it's also not uncommon for Toyota to stay with a design for longer. The 4runner hasn't really changed since 2010 it's been having some of its best sales years recently. More than ever people are caring about tried and true more than new and flashy, especially when new and flashy results in more problems (oil dilution in DI turbos is just one example). I think the current Tacoma design is still holding up fine when you compare it to its competitors. Kind of just sounds like you're not a truck person, or you just got out of a Platinum F150 or something. One last nit-pick - stop riding the clutch ; )
I mean i owned a 2017 mustang gt then i had a 2020 392 scat pack charger and now i got a 22 tacoma, tbh all the so called features are cool but then again not needed. Trans and engine are built solid, now ya theres a huge different going from 485hp to 275 but the manual makes up for it, if you take a 2010 Camry like my grandparents got, they got huge differences quality wise. They came a long way
You can tell you are young and never really had a old school vehicle that you had crank windows manual door locks and lucky to have cruise control and air conditioning. It's made with those materials because trucks get dirty and dusty. More leather and upscale material would put the price way higher.
Lol I grew up with old school cars lol. I didn’t even live in the US. I drive so many cars and trucks and the Tacoma is very cheap. I get it people buy it for the reliability but still this thing is 41k lol
@@Iegend17 gotcha but you don't have to spend 41,000 to get a Tacoma. I get what you are saying but it is no different than any other brands in the segment. This is the best off road reliable mid size in my opinion. I have owned many brands and getting your fancy interior truck towed is less desirable. It was fun to watch you drive this and looked like it was easy to get to highway speed before getting to 4th gear. Thx for the video.
@@Iegend17 do they still have the Japan 4 cylinder engine with a manual? When these were arriving on the scene, you could get a 4*4 DC tundra 4.6L for $34000
most peope complain about poor visibiity but you ae sayng its great. Toyota dont seem to care much about making their buyers happy and seem more concerned about profits. the older truck has more cmfort

and the extra $3000 for factory orders helps them hit financial goals
This will be best family offroad i ever seen its acsually manual and combustion engine !!!
Im in love its perfect i can not wait to buy one !!
@5:10. This is the first Tacoma review where I heard the driver say that the engine has a “good amount of power”.
got some balls driving on highway with that gas tank light on...

Kms and loving it.
'definitely old' - that's why we buy it lmao
Hahhaa. Well you buy it for the engine cuz it’s built proof. Tech and everything is “definitely old” and no one can disagree :)

Having the same problem - don't want all that expensive jazz.
Manual used to mean poor poor bastid. Auto added $1000 to the average cost.
I got my TRD sport only for Manual transmission.
nice, is it a long bed or short bed?
Short
The access cab has a 6 foot bed, so it’s the long bed
I recognized the merrit in wallingford haha
Yes 😂😂😂
Me gusta toyota tacoma para mama vera
