    For the Titan SSB V2, per the manual, the thread size of the included handles are M20-2.5 X 25 MM in case anyone is wondering.

    Very cool!!! I have the SS3 and had no idea how to use the nunchuck handles!! I don't think I cheat for most of my reps, but near the ends of my sets I sure do. Can't wait to try out those handles tomorrow!!

    Man Adam, I saw this when I had the Bells of Steel SS3 which came with chain handles but now that I have an SS Yoke coming I came back to this video. Also, I was browsing Rogue’s site and saw the knurled Nunchuck Handles so I’m gonna have to get those to use with the eye bolts. My wallet thanks you.

    Just got my SS3 in from BoS last week. Worth the wait and every penny. You are correct, the chain handles are no joke. Spin is ok, but doesn't need to be great for this type of bar. The pad is better than the v2 IMO, it feels more dense.

    Thanks. When you push up on the handles, don't you just push the weight and hence make it more like a front squat, with more emphasis on the quads? Isn't it just a matter of what you want to focus on - quads or upper back?

    How do you cheat if you push up on the handles. Maybe on the upper back part bit legs still have to lift same weight. Plus you put weight in front sou you can be more upright like in high bar squat.

    • @GarageGymLab
      @GarageGymLab  3 роки тому

      A primary component of the SSB is the upper back part, so pushing up on the handle removes much of the demand in that respect. Still can be hard, but it cheats the overall purpose of the SSB

    Do safety squat bars take a lot of pressure off the spine in general? Is this a better option for newbie old guys trying to get stronger?(squat wise)

    • @randygreen007

    I do not necessarily agree with this. To further explain myself we would never suggest to make your bench harder to place the barbell on your neck & to make the deadlift more difficult keep the barbell further away from your shins. All of our bodies are NOT the same therefor it makes no sense to suggest making something more difficult. It is all about leverages. Other vantagepoint I see is; we wouldn't tell a construction worker it is cheating to use a crowbar with their hand further away from the thing they were prying open or apart and suggest for the to shorten the distance of the bar to make their job more difficult. to be in balanced with something does not make it cheating and to suggest being out of alignment will and may cause injury. Furthermore, I purpose stating this is the way to cause you back and legs to get stronger but to outright call someone a cheater when they just want to use something the way they feel fit it is up to them not up to the ideals for a limiting source that is mainly inclusive. That is my take on it and my two cents worth.
