In RDG gilt account, sir could you tell me what happens if a T-bills got maturity ? Will it be redeemed automatically and got credited to my linked savings bank account??
Dear ET Money team Much appreciation for making our financial lives a bit less complicated & more streamlined. Would it be possible for you to make a comprehensive guide about accident/disability insurances that are available as is, & not as a rider of other insurance services? There’s close to nil data available & we viewers trust your unbiased information. Thanks 🙏🏼
Thank you. We'll try to have something on accidental & disability insurance. As a product, we think it is an important addition especially disability, as most insurances don't cover that wholesomely.
From a taxation perspective it needs to be taxed at the same rate compared to debt mutual fund to create level playing field. Till the time there is tax difference in both the instruments investors are better off with the gilt mutual fund
Your presentation is very good. it is very clear and lucid as compared to other videos. in this video i was looking for SGB and without maintaining DEMAT if you can elaborate on that would be helpful.
Thank you. We have referenced in the video that SGB bought via a RDG account doesn't require a demat. The process of buying is simple enough per one of our team members who opened an RDG account to try this out
Beautiful explanation. It's not all hunky dory as I had initially thought...Interest rates cycles and inverse proportionality with yields were eye openers
Thanks for having separate hindi channel. For non hindi speakers when we open and see the content in hindi, its so disappointing. Same goes with hindi audience expecting hindi contents will feel seeing english content i guess.
Very informative video, One question: I'd like to buy an RBI bond (floating rate savings bond), which is usually not tradable in the secondary bond market; can I do so through "RBI Retail Direct"?
Fantastic video. Can you please let me know is there any lock in period for RBI Gold Bond ??? Retail direct account is easy or RBI bond purchase through HDFC account is easy ???
Hi Sir , In RBI Retail Direct i can see 2 type of bond 1.Low coupon discount bond with same yield Eg 5.6 Coupon rate 93.40/100 Rs 2028 ----YTM 7.5 % 2.High coupon bond with same yield Eg 8.6 Coupon rate 104.50/100 Rs 2028 ----YTM 7.5 % wther the both are same or both are different , if different which one will be more profit

In RDG gilt account, sir could you tell me what happens if a T-bills got maturity ? Will it be redeemed automatically and got credited to my linked savings bank account??
Do capital gains is applied for savings in 3 months category.what happen if we redeem after 3months in short term investment, First category. Can we redeem directly from RBI DIRECT platform? No capital gains if redeem after 3 months.
Very informative- but you didn't mention about the returns to be expected from 4 investments....how do someone take decision without knowing expected return
as long as you dont show us how to do bidding in rbi retail direct portal this video is incomplete....sir please show us how to do bidding in the portal please sir
Nice video. It would have helped if there was a demo with an example to show how the returns work. For instance If i purchase a G sec of 100000 maturing after 10 years with indicative yield of 7% will I get paid 7000 RS interest every year or is it paid only on maturity ? Will the yield rate of 7% change or is it fixed for next 10 years. When you say interest is taxed, is there a TDS or we need pay it based on our slab ? Thanks.
Let’s say I opened the gilt account. I wanted to buy rbi bonds.. I’m still confused where can I buy rbi bonds in the gilt account.. is there a tikr symbol that I need to search? Also, does rbi bonds = t bills? Or does government security = rbi bonds.? Basically the only problem I’m facing is I don’t how how to search and find a list of rbi bonds once the gilt account is already created.. I’m quite new to these terminologies so any help would be highly appreciated thanks
Hi. Unfortunately there is no manual available on this. But we read that 35,000 Indians have opened and invested through the free RDG account. Maybe you too can open that online account and figure it out.
Sir I have already opened rdg account... Biggest problem is WHERE DO WE GET THE TERMS OF SDL BEING AUCTINED.. I FAILED TO GET THE SDL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE LOANS BASED ON ISIN NUMBER... please guide... Secondly many times INDICATIVE YIELDS OF RBI ARE NO WHERE NEAR ACTUAL CUT OFF YIELD... how rbi gets indicative yields
